@Piruchitac@MarriottBonvoy@MarriottIntl Unfortunately, it really seems like a #scam to book through @Marriott. Several of us are still waiting for a refund for stays booked and prepaid through Marriott’s channels, and cancelled by Marriott!
Marriott canceled my reservation (booked & paid through their official channel).
Yet they refuse to initiate the refund.
I’m escalating to consumer protection authorities until this is resolved.
#MarriottFail#Sonder#RefundNow
This discredits the entire hotel industry and all major booking platforms. After prepaying a stay of more than $2,500 through @Marriott, a stay that @Marriott later cancelled without any assurance that I will ever be refunded — I have lost trust in the system!
@pierreborz1@Marriott@marriottassist@MarriottBonvoy Hi, I’m in the same situation and also contacted the DGCCRF with no result so far.
Could you share the email from Marriott confirming your refund? They are still directing me to my bank, even though my bank refused the chargeback
@lologold14@SonderStays@MarriottBonvoy Does this mean they will actually proceed with the refunds? Is this official? Because in the last email I received, they were still telling me to contact my bank.
@ABCWorldNews@RhiannonAlly@Marriott is doing absolutely nothing to help people who booked through their channels. They are asking us to contact our banks for a refund, claiming that the card was not charged by Marriott. which is completely false as clearly shown in the reservation confirmation received
@kendall1tau@bookingcom I’m in the same situation. I also booked a stay in NYC from November 16 to 28 through @Marriott canals, paid a refundable amount of 2 256,13 €., and now my booking has been cancelled with no refund offered. Really hoping this gets resolved soon!
