@baba_nyenyedzi Stories of tomatoes from South Africa flooding Mbare started in 2011. A box of tomatoes was sold for 11$ between April and July 2011. After that, the SA tomatoes entered the market and the prices fell. I then decided to go varsity, mapuno haachabhadhari since then
@deemativ My argument is that the permits enabled integration and social mobility of the beneficiaries. The left out groups are the ones vulnerable now, including some Sotho and Zimbabweans who came after DZP or LSP.
Zimbabweans and Basotho make up some of the largest migrant communities in South Africa. Yet they may see fewer victims in current immigration enforcement because the DZP and LSP created legal pathways that reduced documentation challenges. The groups most exposed today may be migrants from countries where similar regularisation programmes were not implemented, particularly Malawi and Mozambique.
@crymybelovedc I know this but the DZP and LSP as well as Angola Special Permit left the Malawians and Mozambicans exposed, as we are seeing now. Permits also enable housing transitions, so many of those beneficiaries left the townships.
The biggest mistake in postgraduate research is treating the literature review as a template. A good literature review is not a summary of articles. It is an argument about what we know, what we do not know, and why your study matters. Should you need to talk, call +2781 234 3621.
@chirembaPT I went to one recently, it was a Jetour T2, i was interested in. Then the saleswoman asked, if i have a trade in, said yes. After assessing my car, she said keep yours for now, maybe come after 3 years.
@Depopos@AdvBMkhwebane No, that is for a business visa and not necessarily running a business. Anyone can register a business hence others become entrepreneurs

On a side note, the Immigration Act and Employment Services Act makes it criminal for the employer to employ an undocumented immigrant, and not for an undocumented immigrant to be employed. It has a fine of R100 000 per worker but the focus of enforcement has been on the undocumented worker and not the employer.
