The link is often made between good governance and the ability to meet long-term development goals. But what is good governance, exactly?
A new report @BUPardeeCenter forecasts how forms of good governance can promote SDG targets in Uganda.

The Covid mess is so annoying because you know it’s just a matter of time before most of the population will be outraged to realize they have developed chronic illnesses they didn’t previously have
NEW: Moderna is charging poor nations $29 per vaccine dose—far more than rich nations pay—while blocking African scientists from using its technology.
It is making billions overcharging for a vaccine that U.S. taxpayers helped create.
@POTUS must end this obscene profiteering.

Lots of people not professionally involved in climate change may be finding it difficult to understand what is going on at COP26. Many of the people here have no idea either! So I have tried to summarise where we are with three days to go. Hope it may be helpful. 🧵/1

Our economy is characterized by exploitation *not* because exploitation is a necessary feature of production, but because exploitation is a necessary feature of capital accumulation.
It’s wildly dumb that we keep talking about the “cost” of climate action when:
1) most of those costs are actually investments
2) the cost of inaction is astronomically more
3) our civilization is at stake
Our leaders say nice words about climate action, but they cannot bring themselves to do the one thing that actually matters: scale down fossil fuel production. On the contrary, production is projected to *increase* in the coming decades. https://t.co/QlQE1wkPF5
Le #COVAX devrait être restructuré pour assurer les promesses de financement et les engagements des pays riches.
