Limited Long Island Rail Road service will resume tomorrow with shuttle buses continuing to operate through the AM rush.
Customers should continue to work from home on Tuesday if possible. Check our website for details: https://t.co/QNV4sIPCsH
When the (E) diverts into LES-2Av, reminds me of back in the late 2000s when the (F) and (V) used to bunch up and then nothing would show up for a while.
Many times, I take Long Island train 109 which departs Babylon at 4:10am and arrives to Penn Sta NY at 5:21am. It is standing room only every time. Shuttle buses starting at 4:30am will not get the first wave of construction and transit workers to Manhattan in time.
Breaking News: Long Island Rail Road workers have gone on strike, shutting down America’s busiest passenger rail service for the first time in over 30 years. https://t.co/0WFaNvvmWh
LIRR service is suspended until further notice because of a strike.
Avoid nonessential travel and work from home if possible. We will have limited shuttle bus service on weekdays for essential workers and those who cannot telecommute

Everyone is saying that airlines are “swooping in” to start former Spirit routes. Well, I haven’t seen any new players in the New York LaGuardia to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood or Newark Liberty to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood market.
We encourage all travelers who previously booked a flight with Spirit Airlines to make alternate travel plans before arriving to the airport. We are continuing to work with all our partners to ensure the continuity of safe and efficient operations of all our airport facilities.
Spirit Airlines was a game changer in the US aviation industry. My last Spirit flight was on 4/22/26 and was on time as always. 50 lifetime segments on Spirit, and never any big non-weather issues. Spirit and the “bare fare” will be missed greatly. RIP.
Introducing the Airbus A321XLR on JFK BCN is the right move. They’re both codeshare hubs on each end, with AA in New York and Vueling in BCN. It was sad to see that this route dropped to Summer seasonal when AA went all 777 at JFK. This is the perfect route for the XLR.
All the people who are online saying “This is the worst winter” blah blah blah literally all live in apartments and never have shoveled in their lives lol
4:07 from LAX to JFK is so cool, too bad NYC airspace is a congested runaround. If it wasn’t for vectoring in, that would easily be under 4’ … cool but imagine timing this trip to try out the MintSuites and you get a record short flight :/
An Airbus A321neo from JetBlue is currently flying over New Mexico with a ground speed of 656 kts (1,215 km/h, 755 mph), thanks to a very strong jet stream.
I’m born and raised, lived my whole life in New York and never has shoveling been a problem. Everyone shoveled their sidewalks fully and properly. Neighbors helped each other when either wasn’t home, the community helped the elderly and disabled. What’s given in 2026?
In 2026, let’s leave behind complaining about contents of TGTG mystery bags. You pay a nominal amount for whatever the establishment didn’t sell, which is probably not the popular stuff, so it’s the classic example of YOU GET WHAT YOU GET, AND YOU DON’T GET UPSET! Be thankful!
