It's Mental Health Awareness Month. The @NSCsafety employer cost calculator suggests that poor mental health costs a public administration organization in NYS with only 50 employees $62,331 annually. Provide resources that support your employees' mental and physical well-being.
Next week, much of the state could see heat advisory warnings with temperatures between 80 and 90 degrees. Monitor your employees, prevent staff from spending all day outdoors, provide shade and water breaks, and forgo demanding outdoor activities when extreme heat is forecast.
