It can take me up to 9 hours to leave my flat and go somewhere familiar like my local shop or the zoo where I'm a member. I find it easy to navigate somewhere unfamiliar esp if I have an appointment or am on holiday. Thinking about PIP renewal
@blindandb0ujee I like it when people ask me if I'm alright, because then I can say "no, I'm half left" and it is meaningless. When people ask if I'm ok, one of my stock responses is "define ok". Sorry things are still so tough.
@dieworkwear WikiHow does have a how to iron article. I would add - use a big towel if ironing on a counter or table if you don't have an ironing board. I haven't ironed since I was 14, I recommend embracing crumpliness. https://t.co/WUrA4ojFoh
@hatetorycuts@Shrink_at_Large I did appreciate that I was given the option of staying overnight if I had to, as my social network is pretty flimsy. But that's cancer I suppose - a lot of resources get thrown at it.
@errjustsaying@clairebubblepop Around 1986 for me. But without the clean beaches unfortunately. We had the occasional home visit from our local GP who we all knew, and my mother was a housewife.
Man sits by me on train.
MAN: Loads of psychopaths around here
ME: Really?
MAN: Loads mate
ME: How'd you know?
MAN: There's signs aren't there?
ME: I guess?
MAN: I love them
(47 minutes of awkward silence.)
Man leaves train, he has a bike. I realise he was saying 'cycle paths'.
I regret to report that the secret to making friends in your 30s is to go out and do things and then ask the people there if they would like to go out again and do more things
