These kids nailed it, and their hard work really showed! They not only rose to the challenge, they exceeded all expectations! I can’t wait to hear what their musical future holds!
What a great experience this weekend at the PMEA District 7 Youth Honors Band festival! So proud of these kids for their hard work! It was a blast, and each one of them are better musicians because of it! They represented Nye and the LD community with such skill and class. Bravo!
Nye's beginning clarinets brought their "A-game" yesterday! Nothing is more rewarding than kids coming to lessons prepared and sounding awesome! They even took it upon themselves to learn new notes and look ahead in their book! Thanks for making this band director's day! 😃👏🎵
The Nye Spring Concert was a great success! Thank you to LDMS for hosting us, to South Hanover’s Mr. Burkholder for his guitar work, and to Mr. Irvin for helping kids achieve their best! This finale featured grades 1,3, and 4 on stage, and earned a standing ovation! Amazing!
These kids are more than ready for Advanced Band! So proud of their performance and can’t wait to see how far they go next year! There are many more 4th graders ready for this challenge, too!
Nye Elementary’s very own, Annie B. Flats (Jr Edition) ROCKED at the Spring Concert! These 4th Grade beginners sound less like “beginners” and more like “confident go-getters”! Keep going!!!
I guess that curtain is not as thick as I thought! 🤣 It is further evidence of the power music has on people, though! I can’t wait to open our curtain for that number at our concert on Wednesday!
There was no stopping the dance moves, air drums, or other celebrations of having a live drummer and horns at K and 1st Grade Lunches today! But thanks, Mr. Irvin for closing the stage curtain during rehearsal...the kids didn’t notice the music at all!
Great things are happening @LowerDauphinMS. I had the awesome opportunity to hear the LDMS Jazz Band at the Camp Hill Jazz Festival this afternoon. Kudos to the musicians on a job well done and Mr Hutch for making it all happen! @LDMSBand
I always get a kick out of watching the kids’ expressions when we walk into the forum in Harrisburg for the first time. County chorus is always an amazing experience! So proud of how our Nye students performed and represented themselves and the LD community!
Even though back-to-back festivals make for long weeks, they are the most rewarding for us and our music kids! We are lucky to have a group of music educators that get along so well! They provide LD’s budding musicians with so many great opportunities! @ekteach1
The Lower Dauphin Elementary Band and String Festival brings together 5th grade students from all five elementary schools for a combined concert. Great job to all of the students! @LowerDauphin
@LDMSBand Thanks for working with us Mr. Hutch! My kids had a blast, and I was able to add a few things to my band “toolbox” too! I get the feeling they are even more excited to join your band in 6th grade and beyond!
So proud of these kids playing at the Harlem Globetrotters game yesterday! Loved having some East and South Hanover kids, too! Special thanks to the parents for supporting our program and the Nye PTO for their help as well! The LD Middle School choirs were great at halftime too!
