@RoKhanna Question for everyone who's sure the election was stolen: who do you think stole it? If they did it for Raman, why not for Steyer? Why would they steal it for Raman if Bass would rather run against Pratt? Y'all think the Dems are organized enough to steal an election. LOL.
@StokedSandy@robbystarbuck That’s true. It’s also true in most states. If it’s a problem, why are there so few Federal prosecutions? Wouldn’t that be low hanging fruit to prove the point? If the feds start establishing this is a problem, I’ll be all for spending the $ / inconvenience to fix it.
@SecScottBessent@federalreserve Powell has been nothing but gentlemanly. Listening to these guys talk about norms is a joke. Pretty sure all it would take for him to leave is to drop the ridiculous criminal investigation, but Trump can't admit he was wrong so he and all his minions equivocate so on we go.
@lapislagoons Thanks for sharing. Gonna try those. I make them mostly the same way and toss at end with parmigiano reggiano & balsamic vinegar, but I'm going to try the glaze you use. Looks fabulous!
@GroverNorquist For real property, indexing would make the system more fair. The exclusion amounts should aways have been indexed to inflation. Instead they just seem arbitrary and then have to be updated every few decades. Indexing would level this out and be more fair.
@GroverNorquist Not surprised 75% who pay cap gains tax earn <$200k, the rich folks don't ever sell. They just wait & pass along with stepped up basis so nobody ever pays any tax on the gain. Regular people sell stock to retire, fund education, home down payment, etc. We should help the living.
@charliebilello My father started working the year social security started and he stopped working the year they made it taxable. He was a loyal Republican and felt screwed. He saved money so he wouldn’t have to depend on SS and then he felt punished for it. Seems that’s your position, too.
@CliffordAsness Joe just came across as not understanding any math at all. I don’t care what his politics are, just ask good questions you can back up with facts. He can’t.
@JoeSquawk Dude, inflation spiked under Biden, maybe in part by an extra stimulus. But a mismanaged pandemic was the biggest reason and that is fully on Trump.
@conorsen@TopherSpiro No, she could not have. California was not so keen on being her consolation prize and everyone I knew, even people who gladly voted for her in ‘24, were not enthusiastic about a governor race.
@jonnajarian@JoeSquawk Joe is awful. Not b/c he kisses Trumps ass, but b/c he is bad at his job. He seems more enthralled with the sound of his own voice than extracting an answer that might enlighten. Plenty of CNBC anchors may have a point of view, yet they manage to conduct informative interviews.
@jonnajarian@JoeSquawk Joe is awful. Not cause he kisses Trump’s ass, but because he seems more enthralled with the sound of his own voice than asking good & fair questions. A lot of people on CNBC have a point of view, but most of them, really all of them, ask clear and fair questions .
@AriFleischer I was embarrassed by @AriFleischer when he was the press secretary and he has only brought more shame upon himself and his party ever since. Yeesh. Go away.
I guess if I was @SaraEisen I would be exhausted from calling out WH officials who say untrue things , but letting Hassett say “23 million have taken no tax on tips or no tax on social security “ is just malpractice. No wonder so many believe lies. They hear them from #CNBC.
@RedboxWire@FirstSquawk What a dope. Until now he could at least try to pin the blame on the Dems for airport delays; if he makes it contingent on save America act he hands them a way wriggle off the hook. They will never vote for voter suppression. So stupid.
