BREAKING: According to a just released statement from Ghalibaf, Iran is set to launch the “Persian Gulf Data Authority”.

This yet to be launched entity SEEMS to be an attempt by Iran to impose some kind of restrictions on countries and companies that conduct business with people or countries “giving resources to any AI or data company aiding in invasions or killing children”.

Does the name sound familiar to you?

That’s because Iran also launched the Persian Gulf STRAIT Authority (PGSA) as their formalization of the “Tehran Toll Booth” that has been operating now for several months despite it being sanctioned by the United States.

This is a BOLD move for Iran, and one that seems to be a continuing indication that Iran is pursuing total regional hegemony and views their current position in the U.S./Iran War as one that will allow them to further coerce Gulf countries to bend the knee to Iran.

While I am HIGHLY skeptical that this PGDA will bear any notable fruit, it IS still significant in the continuing evolution of the role Iran intends to play in the region and the world at the conclusion of the Iran War.
