On this day in 1929, George Stinney Jr., was born.
He was the youngest person executed in the US in the 20th century. He was so small they had to stack books on the electric chair.
Due to no evidence, his conviction was vacated 70 years after his execution!

- It is the Day that Allah chose to reveal one of the most blessed verses in the Quran, "Today, I have completed this religion for you, and perfected My favors upon you, and chosen Islam as you way of life" [Mā'idah; 3].
There's been a lot of terrible news recently, but I feel like we skipped over the fact that SCOTUS last week said that "innocence is not enough" to prevent someone from being executed for a crime that they did not commit.
"I was able to convey the people's message and voice."
Not long before her killing by Israeli occupation forces, Al Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh spoke about her career and what it meant to her to report on the occupation.
NYC please prepare for fear mongering from the news, prepare for over policing, prepare for bullying on the subways by police. Reactive bull shit that doesn’t help 95% of the public. Hmm I wonder who it does help?

There is a serial killer on our streets and the NYPD cannot use the 9 billion dollar budget from *our* tax dollars to catch a criminal committing visibly violent crimes in broad daylight.
The NYPD has all the surveillance gizmos/tactics on the market but have not managed to catch a guy who stabbed 2 people in broad daylight at a major cultural institution, walked right out, and is currently shitposting on IG comments as a fugitive.

Qandeel Baloch's murderer walks free today after serving less than six years of his life sentence.
He is on record admitting to drugging and murdering his sister.

{نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ}
'Inform My servants that I am truly the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful' [Ḥijr: 49]."
