What is else is not being considered?

Property prices will either come down by 20-30% as you have to earn more for the same property, alternatively if the price stays flat, that same property will now cost you 20-30% if your income comes from investment gains.

Now consider a 20-30% rise in property prices over the next 5 years, a likely scenario, as so much local wealth and cashflow has been sucked out of the system. The government will be forced to flood the system with even more immigration just to keep cash flow in the economy.

If your income source is from gains, then that same house for a local will now require an extra 40-50% of income and you are competing with immigration folk coming from a low tax country.

A sovereign deal would make sense from an Anthropic or OpenAI stance, to be able to offer in country data and physical segmentation of racks or buildings to governments, financial organisations or weyland-yutani. You have already seen three examples this week of sovereign usage and security concerns with Ant, MS and FatCat. Reminds me of the early days of cloud data around data location. There was a view back then for a while, that the cloud would never take off.

We replaced our Hubspot instance within 5 hours of Claude coding , it got us to about 90% of the way there, then another 4 weeks part time to really fine tune it. Now more functionality and completely bespoke to our business operations. Integrated a lot more parts of the business and now it accidentally morphed into a business operating system. We are now measuring the profitability and sales numbers in real time, supercharged client onboarding and communication flows. This has now accidentally become a new product to sell. With ai, and agentic ai we have stripped 25% costs out of the business and expecting a significant upside in sales with agentic marketing, sales and onboarding. Hard to say but we are expecting anything from 10x to 100x growth. A two week delivery time has gone from 2 weeks to 15 minutes. Every day this is a learning curve, and the big takeaway is we are still not thinking big and crazier enough. Slight segue, on a side not I’m a huge fan of IREN. Big corporations are slow to move, wait until they catch on that agentic agents will replace bulk staff, we all know that, but the next phase is they will want dedicated racks + service level agreements. They can’t afford to go down, 1 hour a year is regarded as really bad. Look at Anthropic trying to manage their growth with already significant outages and rate limiting on a monthly basis. Large corporations design their systems not to go down. Well played IREN, i see your strategy, this side hustle, focusing on Big Corporations also equals higher margin. Go Anthropic, go IREN !

This is true of every technological cycle and this is also the same problem their competition will face. It is essentially an arms race and over time their independence will become their greatest strength. They are not beholden to one platform and can pivot. Whilst power scarcity is on the critical path there will future platforms and offerings with significant technical advances and power savings that we are yet to see. What a time to be alive.
