"Stop campaigning with my name, stop abusing me. I'm not the one contesting to be the next Governor of Oyo State" - Governor Seyi Makinde responds to Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat
"Christianity is brainwashing. I am not your typical Nigerian christian and I don't want to be. At the time Jesus lived, he was accused of witchcraft and that's one of the reasons he was killed but 2,000 years later, we're worshipping him."
- Nancy Isime
Lord God refers to ‘angels’ or ‘demons’?
Moses and Elijah are the two major problems in the OT, so God had to cancel them? Brooooooooo...this is worse!
This is nothing but Gnosticism! The Gnostics believe that the god the OT folks spoke to was not the God Almighty.
Sad!😭
@ofubochi@BrotherPossible Context! Context! The Lord could be anyone but the LORD GOD is distinct. Yahweh Elohim is I am who I am, a statement of self sufficiency and self existence. None of the gods have this characteristic. None sir! Exo 15:11.
PF @pfemiolaleye you do this one sir. Thank you and thank you for teaching me so well!
Sometimes I think I don’t know anything but it is looking like I know something , at least something.
The worse heresy you'll hear this week.
The young man literally said God called Moses, but the false preacher was speaking gibberish just to peddle Neo-marcionism. Shame to all of you holding this falsehood called hypergrace and attending their churches

On Eternal Salvation. (A long read )
The first thing to note is that salvation is an eternal gift that is exclusively available in Christ Jesus .
This has never been in doubt.
If you trace theological positions through history you will find that no one questioned whether the man in Christ has access to what is in Christ .
The issue has always been on what is now called “ONCE SAVED , ALWAYS SAVED “ .
Specifically that once a man has accepted Christ , he can never ever lose his salvation even if he later denounces Christ .
I want to first state that historically , not one theologian held this view , not until the twentieth century. If you study the writings of the church fathers , the writings of the reformers and even those of John Calvin you will not find it .
In fact , the only two theologians you can even say taught something close to what is being muted today are Augustine and John Calvin yet both differ widely from what modern hypergrace preachers espouse .
Before I go into the writings of Augustine and John Calvin let me state here that the modern OSAS doctrine was actually popularized in a movement called the FREE GRACE Movement .
The major voices of this movement in the 20th century are Charles Ryrie , Zayne Hodges . I will write on them and what they taught later and compare with Augustine, John Calvin’s position .
Let’s begin with Augustine of Hippo
St. Augustine taught that final salvation and perseverance are entirely unearned gifts from God. He believed that while God genuinely predestines and preserves the elect to the end, no one can infallibly know if they possess the specific "gift of perseverance" in this life.
Augustine of Hippo first extensively detailed this theology in his 428–429 AD work, The Gift of Perseverance. His core views can be broken down as follows:
Perseverance as a Gift: Augustine argued that the ability to remain in the faith to the end is not generated by human free will. It is a distinct, sovereign, and unmerited grace given only to the elect.
Predestination: God predestines specific individuals for salvation. Augustine posited that God's grace is irresistible to the elect, ensuring that they will ultimately attain eternal life.Distinction from "Eternal Security": While both doctrines guarantee that the genuinely saved will reach heaven, modern concepts of "Eternal Security" often provide an assurance that a believer can know they are permanently saved the moment they accept Christ. Augustine, conversely, taught that one can never be absolutely certain of their ultimate election during earthly life.
The Problem of the "Fallen": Augustine had to address why some baptized individuals, who appeared to be walking in grace, ultimately fell away. He concluded that they possessed authentic faith and the Holy Spirit for a time, but were never granted the final "gift of perseverance" required to reach the end.
Augustine taught that the elect will persevere to the end because God gave that gift of perseverance and this perseverance is seen in their faith and conduct !
So Augustine didn’t view perseverance as something that was guaranteed because someone was baptized ( this was their confessional of faith ) but it was seen in that the man who believed continued to believe, this perseverance of faith was a gift that continued to the end of that man’s life .
Now let’s look at John Calvin .
John Calvin argued just like Augustine that final perseverance is a divine gift rather than a human achievement. He maintained that the elect are supernaturally sustained by the Holy Spirit, making it impossible for them to completely or permanently fall out of grace. This means that the saved will persevere in faith and good works powered by the grace of God such that they will never fully fall such as to lack either faith or good works .
Below is an overview of how Calvin formulated this doctrine across his primary works, complete with structural references.

Some of the reasons here is why I am not a fan of govt job. If you’re not self motivated, you will slowly “d!e” there. I prefer to face fire and quench it. I won’t go to the office and pick beans. Lailai.
@niyiofficial@otegaogra lol! Just lol!
Did u stop anyone from applying? I’m not applying to install meters please. There’s a context to the message m, if you don’t get it congratulations to you.
Nigerians are very emotional!
Seeing projects flying up and down pre-election is not something new. Many of these projects won’t see the light or the day or be completed. It is the same cycle and same handwriting.
To fast track the implementation of the Presidential Metering Initiative where over 5 million meters will be installed for users across Nigeria in order to eliminate estimated billing, President Tinubu has approved the training of 5000 young Nigerians as meter installers and technicians.
