Completely agree, multi-agent AI systems can revolutionize staging workflows and cut waiting times. But patient-centered care requires more than speed. Many pause studies due to anxiety until they see their oncologist. AI logics must include human factors: building trust, clear education, and shared decisions from day one.
Prototype is the easy part. Very few physicians understand AI governance, data governance, PHI handling, regulatory pathways, compliance requirements. Building the model is a fraction of the work.
What about validation, quality management systems, post-deployment monitoring, patient safety, continuous surveillance?
Regulatory compliance is part of the product.
But still, Congrats!
@DavidBursteinMD True. Inside informed decisions physicians need to have the skills to explain how trials results adapt or not to the specific case. Statistical uncertainty applied in daily decision making. Long, may be short way to go to AI LLMs.
For generations, physicians have warned against making medical decisions with incomplete knowledge.
Now many of us are expected to pick up computer science, machine learning, and even vibe coding.
A little ironic, isn’t it?
As founders and professionals in the sector, our responsibility is to raise the bar. Let's not sacrifice legal safety for technical convenience.
No BAA = No deal. Simple as that.
Have you encountered platforms that claim to be "for doctors" but refuse to sign compliance agreements? Let’s discuss below. 👇
The flow seems linear and logical: PHI -> HIPAA -> BAA.If you handle Protected Health Information, you must comply with HIPAA. And if you are a tech provider for healthcare, you must sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA).But in practice, this chain breaks constantly. 🧵👇
This leads to an uncomfortable question: Is the #HealthTech ecosystem truly committed to global standards, or are we building on foundations of sand? 🏗️
Developing healthcare tools isn't just about "making the code work" it’s about ensuring a legally safe environment for both doctors and patients. 🏥💻
