you might want to look into new gas regs as of 1/10/26 that make changing gas meters a Russian roulette. Older properties highly likely to get their gas cut off for no good reason.

due to the new gas regs as of 1/10/26 our smart meter installation resulted in us losing our gas today. Would have been fine 2 days ago. Now have no heating or hot water and hundreds of pounds expense to look forward to. How about Burnham sorting this idiocy out?

Had a smart meter installed and due to the new regulations as of 1/10/26 our gas was capped off leaving us with no heating, hot water or gas hob. All this with a vulnerable person in the household. BRAVO, another absolute triumph.
