I grew up in Richmond, KY. I graduated high school at Madison Southern, then got a B.S. degree in Computer Science and a B.A. degree in Broadcasting at EKU.
@Unicronisboss@PopcastGuys Because it is sexist to think that girls don't read comics or interested in comic movies. Lots of girls do. And not once while watching this movie did I see or think about any of what this post says. It's just a POV from someone who doesn't like strong women characters.
@SanzoFilm@DiscussingFilm That reboot was great. I'm not sure if it was marketed well enough. Making a theatrical animated movie with the right marketing, it may do well and bring the franchise back. They've already done it in comics (as well as Silverhawks). I'd rather then try than not.
@JohnHPiette@PalwinderCFA@DiscussingFilm The point of the ending was to reflect back on humanity & raise the question what would u do, not answer the question. The biggest theme was empathy. The final word was the most important. That's the answer. But will we choose to accept that answer or keep heading for destruction
@VHSreview@Vincent2112_@DiscussingFilm I'll admit it was confused when I saw the panic, but also admit I went in a bit tired after being up since 2:30 am so had trouble focusing. But it was obvious by the end of the movie. Maybe you were just not focusing & should watch again
@VHSreview@Vincent2112_@DiscussingFilm Also, it made sense for Daniel to go back. Stupid? Maybe. Be he wanted to save Jane. This movie also wasn't written by GenZ (which also wouldn't be an issue). It was written by a longtime Spielberg collaborator going back to Jurassic Park. And this may be his best script yet.
@TruthBKnown1776@SpoutinghornPC@historyinmemes Obama's plan kept Iran from having nuclear weapons until Trump ripped up the deal. After going to war with Iran, his part of the deal to end is to do the same thing as Obama did but, seemingly at this point, not as good of a plan while also giving more to Iran than just money.
@TruthBKnown1776@SpoutinghornPC@historyinmemes Both parties spend more than their take in revenue, but Republicans tend to be worse. And zero taxpayer dollars went to Iran under Obama. That was a complete lie.
@grover_lou@Industry3D@SpoutinghornPC@historyinmemes@grok States decide on curriculum & yearly testing not the DOE. The DOE does fund studies to help schools to find better methods of teaching, but those decisions are still at a local level. And why look at SAT when ACT has been the standard until recently. Neither I nor my son took SAT
@SpoutinghornPC@Industry3D@historyinmemes A more recent example of targeted spending was funding studies to determine new teaching methods to help better educate current students (as things change & how kids learn change). DOE funded a study that was hugely successful but Trump threw it out in his attempt to shut it down
@Industry3D@SpoutinghornPC@historyinmemes It was created by the Carter administration to consolidate all the govt needs passed by law (affordable higher education, civil rights, etc) while also funding targeted programs for better education Reagan ran against it & Republicans have since attempted to limit it.
@Kiss030160@historyinmemes Their costs have drastically went up just as much as everyone else's while governments (both federal and state) keep taking away funding.
@Jakeheay@FortniteStatus Those will be given out later. I thought the screen said Monday, but their social media says next week (meaning sometime this week since it was posted yesterday).

@FrozenLoonie@Variety The movie is not season 4. It's a standalone film with a new script. But Disney was desperate for a theatrical release, so they asked for them to make the movie. But it is a good, fun movie. It had the best of Mando, 80s vibes, & a Henson like sequence focused on Grogu.
@lordofthesith1@sw_holocron I'm pretty sure I read that the alarms were already added in post, but when hearing them he decided to time the music to the alarms and include them making a cohesive and incentive use of them
@Gurdaat45@Press_X_Fool@PopBase Apparently you missed the sale last year of Coyote v Acme and the trailer that just dropped for it with a release date later this year.
@IaconKnight@Vbrewski@PopBase That's not true. Zaslav was already setting the company up to sale while saying he wasn't looking to. But everyone knew. Maybe the offers upped the timeline slightly, but it was always planned
@Vbrewski@PopBase It was always believed that Zaslav bought WB to flip it. But he had to wait a few years to do so. He was in the process of dividing the assets, which signals selling, at least, part of the company or making it more palatable to sell in pieces. This wasn't a surprise
