On August 6, 2012, at Garden Grove Medical Center, a woman dressed as a nurse told a new mom the doctor was coming and suggested she shower. As soon as the mother stepped out, the suspect placed the newborn in a tote bag and headed for the exit.

The baby’s ankle sensor (placed within the first hour after birth) instantly triggered a full lockdown: alarms blared, doors locked, elevators stopped.

She was caught before leaving the building.

The baby was safe. Incredible how those security systems worked perfectly.
