• How much of the reserves are borrowed? • How sustainable is the debt? • What is the cost of servicing that debt? • Has the naira strengthened? • Has inflation eased?
Those metrics tell a fuller story.

Comparing today's $51bn reserves with 2009's $50.5bn reserves without mentioning that external debt has risen from under $4bn to over $40bn is incomplete economics.
