Yesterday’s abrupt retirement announcement by Gen. Chris Donahue, the Commander of U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) and NATO’s Allied Land Command, was made at the request of the Pentagon under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, people familiar with the matter tell The Wall Street Journal.
Prior to this announcement, many believed Donahue was on a fast track to become Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, having led the Army’s Delta Force commandos in Iraq and Syria when it took the fight to Islamic State militants and was the “last man out” when the troops he commanded at the 82nd Airborne Division were called in to secure the 2021 evacuation of U.S. personnel and Afghan allies from Kabul, Afghanistan.
General Donahue’s removal is said to be part of an ongoing push by Hegseth to put his imprint on the military’s leadership, while squeezing out officers with track records of battlefield valor and command experience in favor of less accomplished political loyalists, officers that fully support both himself and President Trump.
India's defence tech company IG Defence has scaled its manufacturing capacity to 200 FPV Kamikaze Drones per day, following its deployment during Operation Sindoor and acknowledgement in an official PIB release.
Former Army Chief General M.M. Naravane recently highlighted that future conflicts could require up to 40,000 drones a month, while Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, in a recent briefing, emphasised the need for 8,000–10,000 UAVs per corps, including FPV units, to effectively dominate contested airspace along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and Line of Control (LoC).
Like I've been saying for years: Italy is under permanent US military occupation since 1945.
The same goes for Germany and Japan (both since 1945), and South Korea since ~1950.

Dear followers and supporters,
The past few days have been very troubling for me. This account has always stood as a pro-India platform. Its only purpose has been to expose Pakistani terrorists, their propaganda networks, and the ecosystem that tries to mislead people against our country. For a long time this page has worked as a counter to the propaganda coming from across the border.
Unfortunately, in the last few days some State/UT police units have registered cases against this account and have even sent requests to X seeking my details. It is extremely painful and unfortunate that an account which has always stood with India, supported our security forces, and exposed hostile narratives is now facing action.
What hurts the most is that the very system and security forces I have always defended and worked for are now being used against me. This account never stood for anything except India and against terrorism. Yet today I find myself being treated like the problem.
Reminds me of @Gen_RajShukla telling in a podcast- " american's are writing two books a week on china " Look at ammunition we are providing them should they choose to start writing books on us!
The outrage industry is fast becoming India’s most notable feature. It thrives not on the substantive but on the semantic. The Americans said “allow”. How dare they? India has become a slave of America. Our sovereignty has been affected. Of course the ‘outrageous’ crowd would be fine if the Americans had used the word “waiver” or “carve out” which they have often used in the past to create exceptions for India. At that time no one said we lost our sovereignty. We have a good thing going. We are now well placed to not only ensure our energy supplies but also stabilise world oil market by processing/refining Russian oil and perhaps even profit from it. It is the US which needs us not the other way round. Rather than be chuffed about this we are twisting and tortured about the word “allow”. Are we even a serious people? Why should anyone take us seriously when this is the puerile level of public debate.
