Yep. I tell this now to any younger writer looking at me and saying awwww full time writer how nice. I say to them, it is not all it is made out to be. Get a bloody job. You need extreme luck not to get to the point where you regret. Also I tell them: avoid hippies.

Do not edit African writers' stories with your own projections and sentiments of what their countries/citizens are like. They're the authority on their country. By upbringing, by citizenship, by on ground research and by articulation. By simply existing. They're the authority.

So I do work hard. I did extra jobs too; make provisions and live a life I have always wanted.
