@jaspap27@genxdegenerate@RnaudBertrand Like no closing strait, enriching uranium to 70 percent, firing drones and missiles everywhere, funding proxy wars, massacring tens of thousands of their own ppl, nationalizing everything, ect. Otherwise the money won't materialise if investors aren't convinced.
@anarchyahmad@Daniel36161361@BenjaminPDixon@mehdirhasan Iran says they will never give up control of the Strait under any circumstances and the entire world has to pay toll. They won't restore free access even with peace and security guarantees.
@bayraktar_1love Why is Iran randomly bombing Muslim countries who have declared neutrality, condemned strikes, banned use of airspace, bases for attacks, did everything right, why are they treated like a party to war? Even now, Gulf states have not struck back. What else are they supposed to do?
@ChrisO_wiki@asur379@Osinttechnical The base was evacuated days prior. All the bases near Iran are a write-off, not worth defending as it's way too close to Iran.
@OopsGuess@EmmanuelMacron The Law of the Sea makes it legal to seize shadow tankers because they keep switching flags. Once you do this, you no longer have protection from seizure under UNCLOS. It has nothing to do with how international or UN approved the sanctions against Russia are.
@Aviation_Intel This obsession with VLS cells is getting a little tiresome. In the future, most of the surface fleet VLS cell count will be containerised and carried by autonomous MASC. C2 role and having a large radar is the only thing that will matter for large manned surface combatants.
@camilapress Ten years later and Maduro is still the eternal presidente of Venezuela rotting in jail while the military generals rule in his place from the jungles of southern Venezuela since the coastal capital is too vulnerable.
@Osinttechnical My money is San Antonio class. Those are big 25,000+ ton ships with limited survivability to justify the 2 billion USD cost. Ingalls will complete the three ships under construction and the class will end. Battleship will be 800+ ft long and only Ingalls can build them.
@Tatarigami_UA Completely useless in the Indo-Pacific, if you can't hit your opponent from 1000+ nautical miles out, you're dead. No cheap, short-range FPV drone is relevant in this kind of fight.
@ChuckPfarrer EMALS consumes more power than even the Ford can generate at any given moment. Imagine how much oil would need to burn for Fujian to do even 100 launches per day. And this is on top of the power needed to propel the 80k ton ship. An entire fleet of oil tankers is needed.
@ChuckPfarrer Fujian is a training ship for EMALS (same for the Type 76 amphibious assault ship) until nuclear propulsion ships are built. Even the Ford carrier with three times the electricity generation as Nimitz (also nuclear powered) needs a giant battery to store and recharge for EMALS.
@saintjavelin Lol the ones staying behind are pro-Russian and want to be liberated. Now Russians are shooting them happy to kill Ukr civilians.
The irony is so rich here.
