Overline Scam: Affected? Class Action lawsuit? You don't need to pay for a lawyer to make a difference! The @FTC can sue instead.
Steps:
Step 1: Write an email to Overline Network asking for your money and cryptocurrency payments back for everything that you paid them for. State that it appears that these were fraudulent transactions, given the recent events, deletions and deactivations of accounts and socials, websites and the ghosting of the community,
Step 2: Try to contact whoever processed your payments, the credit card company if you used a credit card, the cypto processors, etc.
Step 3: Submit a report to the FTC at https://t.co/9pnM3xx7l1
Step 4: Report to FBI cybercrimes division:
https://t.co/mbB6TBd8LU
Please make sure to submit your report to the FTC/FBI, even if you don't live in the USA - action may still be taken by US authorities regarding foreigners who were scammed by people operating in the USA. It is quick and easy and they don't contact you back individually but they will look at everyone's complaints together to put the pieces together to see if fraud is present. Overline's terms appear to limit class action. Don't worry, the FTC can step in to ensure consumer protection despite any limitations imposed by private contracts.
The FTC’s mandate is to protect consumers from unfair, deceptive, or fraudulent practices. If Overline Network is found to be engaging in fraudulent practices, the FTC can take action for affected consumers. This may include orders for refunds, fines, and other measures to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws - providing justice to the community even if class action lawsuits are not available.
FTC Authority Under the FTCA: The Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. § 45) empowers the FTC to prevent unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in commerce. This authority allows the FTC to investigate and take action against companies that engage in fraudulent activities, regardless of private contractual terms that restrict consumers' legal recourse options. Even if a company has arbitration clauses or class action waivers, the FTC can still seek court orders to enforce compliance and protect consumer interests.
The Overline team seems to be panicking after I posted info about their FTC violations, and with all of the things being uncovered by the community:
Submit your complaints, copy and paste tweets into the FTC complaint form if you have to - You just have to put in your Name, address and telephone number and then fill out a text field summarizing the fraud.
The #OverlineNetwork team has been quietly deleting more posts and even X accounts over the past few days, trying to cover their tracks this week. Thousands of twitter posts deleted, telegram posts, discord, deleted posts about the ofriend royalties that enticed people to spend thousands trying to get ofriends.
@overlinenetwork @pmccmc @CraigBWeisman@joshuabuirski@iamklob @leilaelhayani these key people have all blocked community, deleted accounts and/or tweets, gone private or deactivated - all very telling. The following sites have gone down or are non-functional:
https://t.co/xjtiCseWEA (support chat bot, the only way to reach them, appears to be deactivated)
https://t.co/NSOWUpKIY6 (site down for over a month)
https://t.co/oNWB93QeCp (site taken down and sold to another company, or rebranded)
Refunds for #oRouters: Still not issued despite an initial 5 day refund promise.
#oCash token: Not launched, not withdrawable or swappable, non-existent. Supposed to be mintable after oRouter owners
Ordinals: No updates. No BRC20 Tokens. Unlisted collection.
RPFP: Royalties for oFriends, discontinued, all information wiped from online sources, even from a mintable nft article.
Other NFTS: Worthless. No use case. Cash grabs, with unusually high eth gas fees even for 'free nfts' such as swamp boats.

Overline Network Scam/Fraud/Deceptive Practices: Another example of absolute dishonesty and deceit by Patrick McConlogue, Craig Weisman, Leila El Hayani and the rest of the Overline Network / Block Collider crew.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) plays a crucial role in protecting consumers from deceptive practices and false advertising, especially regarding physical products (such as the promised oRouter). When consumers purchase items based on misleading claims or advertisements, and those products are not delivered as promised, the FTC steps in to enforce consumer protection laws. The agency ensures that businesses adhere to fair advertising standards and penalizes those that engage in fraudulent activities. By monitoring and addressing these deceptive practices, the FTC helps maintain a fair marketplace, ensuring that consumers receive the products they were promised and safeguarding against financial losses and mistrust.
The supposed oRouter and oRouter refund: Guess what I found out today - in the original online form attached in their refund email on June 25th, the Overline team explicitly stated that the refund would be provided within 5 days of the form being submitted. Now, after the first 5 days the form went live, (and people reporting that they have not received any refund) it has been CHANGED without notice - if I go into the form today, July 10th 2024, it says that "your request will be completed before 08/31/2024" - over 50 days.
It appears they have no intention of refunding people. It is plain to see that they simply wanted this checkbox checked at the bottom of the form to 'conclude all business and claims related to the listed device(s)" - this is to try and make sure that they don't have to refund people for the amounts they extracted from the community for other worthless digital items that they sold in relation to the orouter - ofriends, ocash, swamp boats, flamingos, treasure chest keys, wonderland ordinals, etc. It looks like they wiped out information relating to these digital items from their main social account on X (which they blocked me on) - the pattern appears to be deleting anything to do with things that were paid for in crypto and anything relating to Block Collider / EMB. I wonder if they are trying to hide their crypto gains/profits from taxation that they scammed from everyone?
Regardless, regarding the oRouter and the refund email: This is FRAUD, deceptive practices and false advertising, plain and simple, and the team is counting on us all remaining silent or missing these details - or else on not going back into the form to check after hearing that people are not receiving their refunds - they already succeeded in confusing some people about the refund receipt date.
The entire metaverse project, per Patrick and Craig's own words on X spaces were to be "layers built upon the orouter". It appears that they had no intention of ever shipping the orouter as they abandoned company filings, trademarks and even entire websites prior to their last sale for the oRouters, then ghosted the community when the stated shipping date rolled around, followed by 'discontinuing it for lack of demand' despite stating that they had only a "few thousand spots" left for batch 2 orouter presales, prior to the batch 3 sale (Doesn't this mean that they sold several thousands, at least?) This is exactly why I didn't sign that or submit the form and decided to wait and see what happened to others after 5 days. This is fraud, please report to both the FTC and FBI. Screenshots attached- thank goodness I took a screenshot of the original form. I've submitted my complaints to the @FTC@FBI do your part as well

False Advertising: Promising a refund for a physical product that was sold, and such refund being promised to be received within 5 days and then changing the terms without notifying customers can be seen as false advertising. This is because the company made a specific promise that induced people to act (in this case, to submit the form), and then did not fulfill that promise. Same for the oRouters - promising to ship this physical product by January 2024, and not doing so.
Deceptive Business Practices: This includes any business practice that is likely to mislead or deceive consumers.
Relevant Laws
Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act: The FTC Act prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce. The FTC enforces this law and can take action against companies that engage in deceptive advertising.
State Consumer Protection Laws: Most states have their own consumer protection laws that prohibit deceptive business practices. These laws vary by state but generally provide for enforcement by state attorneys general and sometimes private lawsuits by consumers.
Breach of Contract: If the refund policy was part of a contractual agreement, changing the terms after consumers have agreed to them could be considered a breach of contract.
Steps to Take
Report to the FTC: You can file a complaint with the FTC online at FTC Complaint Assistant.
Report to the FBI: You can report it to the FBI. This can be done online at FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
If you live outside of the USA, you CAN still report to the above:
Anyone can report cyber crimes to IC3 if they are in the USA, or EVEN if they are foreign/live elsewhere but the project that scammed them is based in the USA, or has founders/business conducted by key people from within the USA. If the company operates internationally or has a significant presence or a business nexus in the U.S., U.S. authorities may still take action regarding foreigners who were scammed.
If you are in a foreign jurisdiction, you can additionally find your similar regulating agency there for reporting cyber crimes Europe, so that there will be a report on file regarding these con artists:

So the overline team is reading everything but remaining silent. Blocked today by @overlinenetwork for asking for updates and why the oRouter the community bought back in November 2023 was still not received - stay away from this project. I lost over $20K to this. I put the money expecting it to be a gamble, but with full belief that they were legimate. However, it appears that they were ill-intentioned, misleading and dishonest, misrepresenting a lot of their project based on everything that has happened over the past few months. They promised that the orouter was ready to ship and it is nowhere in sight - this is against @FTC rules, no one ever reached out to ask if we would like a refund. They promised to "stealth launch" the #ocash mainnet and stated that the stealth launch contract address would be posted on this overline main account - so tell me how, after blocking most of the OGs who put money and time into Overline, will any of us be able to get any information pertaining to the supposed mainnet launch if this very account blocked pretty much all us who have asked legitimate questions?
Not to mention if the discord is silent, the team is silent, support is silent, the website for the ocash mainnet portal has been down for weeks now, the https://t.co/lW4DhttPzH site was sold to another company (which was supposed to host the #bitcoin wonderlands that we paid .01 btc for), and the entire team has gone dark? Also, they promised that the ofriends would provide royalties and they quietly terminated that (I had spent almost $10k on the ofriends off secondary for this purpose alone prior to them changing that - thought maybe they could provide a better alternative, but it seems not). They couldn't post a single update but whoever is managing the overline account had plenty of time TODAY (so they're seeing everything being written but deliberately choose to remain silent since Jan) to block me and the others (almost all of the top ten ranking per the overline site gems leaderboard itself). Not just disappointed, but completely mind blown by @pmccmc and @CraigBWeisman. I did not know this till much later, but apparently they did this before with @blockcollider and EMB OL token sales. #metaverse I don't agree with a lot of the trash talking against the team, but I do agree with the mistrust. Sorely disappointed.
Good luck with that @pmccmc stated we would have our refund months ago and then disregarded everyone in the community! We have received no refund and I have proof of those messages as well. They need to be investigated for stealing everyone money and providing nothing but broken promises (millions of dollars gone) @FBI@NewYorkFBI@coffeebreak_YT@TuckerCarlson@USTreasury@CISAgov@USDEPTJUSTICE@IRSnews@StaySafeOnline
The @overlinenetwork official discord disappeared today and they finally sent an email today providing an option to obtain refunds for the orouters, and finally confirming that they will not proceed with them. Ocash portal still down, so we can assume that token will not launch either. It is very rare that I make a fuss to complain about companies, I almost never return things I buy, so its a shame I had to in this instance. Overline Network is dead, we might safely assume? ... next up it looks like its Electronic Frontier Foundation and The Things Network. No idea what those are yet.
