@robertlufkinmd My (WWII era Scots) mother used to say “we eat to live, the French live to eat!”.
Cooking & eating (real)food, especially in family/social context has well documented mental health benefits.
I spend my single years being “food for fuel” guy. As a father, cooking is core to me
1/ The London Royal Opera and Ballet @rbo_org decided to bring pro-Putin opera singer Netrebko, who openly supported invasion of Ukraine in 2014 and has been consistently supporting Putin in election campaigns, on its stage in London.
Let’s let the @rbo_org know that it’s a bad idea to bring supporters of war criminals on such an important cultural stage.
@NewReaganCaucus Toy Story3:
Mr. Potato Head returns from his time in the sandbox prison and says it was "cold and dark, nothing but sand and a couple of Lincoln Logs." Hamm replies,
"Eh, I don't think those were Lincoln Logs"
@ZaluzhnyiUA Fact of modern life is very few senior western politicians have ANY military experience (some even being lifetime politicians). Weirdly- most Western Royals insist on military service!
I’ve always been an advocate for having our politicians with some grounding in service.
The donations almost stopped unfortunately, and we are very slow to reach our goal, while new requests keep coming in.
I appreciate everyone's help, we get what get in this critical moment.

@CharmianNeary@JayinKyiv I was sarcastically reminding folks of the ridiculous Russian claim that “Ukraine destroyed the Khakhovka dam with low yield himars”
Here they can’t even blow a much smaller dam with much higher yield ordnance.
@AuthorTWilson@NewReaganCaucus “I’m only asking the question”
Will tariffs between States make America Great Again?
Or maybe, explain why poor States should be subsidising rich States, if that makes things easier?
Isn’t it the case that most States running internal US trade deficits are Republican?
@kvistp Military subservience has ALWAYS been their goal, overtly or covertly.
Well, “fuck that for a game of soldiers”…literally.
They wanted we be a “captive market”, but mocked us, their customers.
That worked cos we assumed they’d be there in case of Article5.
Fuck you America
@NewReaganCaucus I disagree.
Look at the evolution of political parties in the UK since the mid 1850s.
Outside of America, the Republicans will always remain the “dumb fuck Trump MAGA” party
@NTFabiano Sausages go through sausage factories.
It’s not in the interest of the factory owner that the sausages be *anything other* than sausages that make them money.
🤷♂️
@NewReaganCaucus Alas, for many Americans - “free trade” actually meant “economic colonialism”.
The low cost labour was done by low cost people, the profit uplift by a tiny (usually American) company.
Coffee is the classic example.
@ppearlman You laugh, but why?
What did I say that challenged you?
I’m old school Brit graduate with a Masters.
No matter the subject, we can challenge each other. That’s the beauty of our endeavours-the science & nothing else :)
BTW, you will kick my ass - but such is life :)
@ADHDForReal@ADHDForReal - yup, i confirm- you never STFU.
As a neurodivergent- I’m kinda in awe of that, you put yourself out there.
Wish I could do the same.
Wish I could send you a Christmas card saying “wow”, I actually genuinely mean to - but not gonna happen.
