Having done 130+ hours of writing this past week, I am now sanguinely rehabilitating my favorite useless old laptop. Surely this so called "sleep" is a myth...
Congrats to @OgataAlana on this important study. Many asked how much spike protein gets into circulation after vaccination. Turns out to average ~30-40 pg/mL for a few days then disappears.
FYI: This is ~100,000x less than used in our paper (4 ug/mL).

After about a million rejections, it finally happened. I won the opportunity to spend money on full price items bundled with stuff I don't need and will have to try to resell later! Wooo! #NeweggShuffle
The Regional Stay at Home Order has been triggered for Santa Cruz County. Additional restrictions on travel, commerce, operations and more in effect beginning Friday for a minimum of three weeks. Stay safe, everyone. #WearAMask https://t.co/cW2QRPbBtZ
Some days your experiments fail, some days they work. Sometimes you spend 17 months and 5 days working out kinks in a pipeline before you get the confirmation you were looking for.
It’s a great pleasure to work with such an amazingly collaborative group of neuroscientists, computational and molecular biologists in the BRAIN Initiative Cell Census Network. This is just the first fruit of the BICCN effort. https://t.co/TYb51OV7oZ
Some time ago I wrote a short piece focused on 'voluntary vaccines' which advocates for mandatory vaccinations and may hold some new validity in the light of the current pandemic and the evolving situation. My rhetoric is a bit fiery, blame that on youth. https://t.co/rZAhv78L2l
If and when a vaccine is found for SARS-CoV-2 we do not yet know what antibody persistence will look like. Will we need annual boosters? This may lead to the next phase of social disobedience beyond anti-maksing, anti-vaxxing, or even vax apathy.
