I used to dream about having a workspace like this.
Now I sit here almost every day building products, taking calls and figuring things out.
The funny thing is, when you finally get the thing you prayed for, you barely realize how far you’ve come.
Still upgrading.
Still building.
Still dreaming bigger.
In 2015, I attended my first tech conference. Last week, I convened one.
It takes a decade. Longer post on LinkedIn.

Marketer to marketer:
➜ Stop confusing activity with impact.
Posting, running ads, and “being busy” doesn’t mean you’re moving the business forward.
You should be able to explain how your work connects to revenue or retention, else it is just noise not marketing.
➜ Learn to think in systems.
Traffic, conversion, retention, referrals, know where each lever lives and what happens when you pull it.
➜ Positioning is not “posting” it is decision making.
You need to understand who you are for, who you are NOT for, and why someone should choose you over other alternatives or else no amount of “messaging” will save you.
➜ Distribution is a skill, not a channel.
Anyone can post but only few people know how content, ads, partnerships, SEO, and communities actually work TOGETHER.
This is where real marketers separate themselves.
➜ Metrics are your language.
If you can’t talk comfortably about CAC, LTV, payback periods, funnels, and drop offs, you’re not at the table.
Numbers and data should be your besties.
➜ Stop outsourcing thinking to tools.
You can use them to speed up execution, not to replace your judgment.
Your strategy should live in your head, not in a prompt.
➜ Talk to customers more than you talk to other marketers.
➜ Learn to say no, not every idea deserves testing.
➜ Your career will not be saved by trends.
It will be saved by judgment, pattern recognition, and results you can explain clearly.
➜ Build proof.
Save those screenshots, case studies, before-and-afters, numbers.
Because when you are not in the room, your results are what will speak for you.

OPay is currently executing a god-level 360-degree campaign. The kind I only saw at Google.
But what’s more? OPay is doing this over a longer period.
Omo, having money for marketing is sweet o 😫
By the time they are done, OPay would be synonymous to ‘secure retail banking…’
