@NostalgiaPro Arkham Knight. You poor bastard.
Jest aside, yes, you're right. The 360 from its launch to its twilight years had so many bangers. The Xbox One had Killer Instinct (peak โ fight me) but after that it had stuff like ReCore. Even stuff like Gears 4 were by-the-numbers bland.
@Bluueboyb Sakura. When Alpha 2 came out, I was a young teen, and I thought it was cute that she mimicked Ryu. She was a bit of a childhood crush. I'm glad they aged her up a bit in V so I stopped feeling like a predator. ๐ญ
@inuyarasha_ A lot of hate probably comes from rural areas. I remember growing up in Taranaki and people from the smaller places like Inglewood would call people who lived in New Plymouth "Townie" as an insult. And New Plymouth ain't exactly a metropolis. ๐
@inuyarasha_ I like Auckland, and I even kind of dig the fact it's sprawling. Sure, that adds to travel woes, but it gives variety.
I think it's a better city than Wellington. The only thing I don't like is that it's warmer and more humid, and I'm definitely one that enjoys the cold.
It's sad then that when Xbox finally got its act together and put out things like Indiana Jones, they'd already made the decision to put stuff on PlayStation.
But the situation is also blurred because for ages PS had many de facto exclusives from third parties.
The thing that's always missing in this narrative of "exclusives didn't help the Xbox before" is that the exclusives weren't actually that good. I know; I had an Xbox One.
They weren't all bad, but a lot of them were middling if not bad. ReCore and Crackdown 3 weren't it.
@AshenOne_VI Everyone likes to think they want creativity, but the hard truth is that it doesn't sell. Even that God of War 2D game sold poorly, so not even a brand can carry you. It's up to the indies to carry it; the traditional players can't justify it if the players aren't turning up.
