There is a student nurse currently on placement at CMHT who is so utterly fantastic. Kind, funny, understanding, very caring… is there any way I can make it known to her course how wonderful she has been?
Moved to new flat yesterday. Unpacked and settled in. Woke up at 2am with the walls screaming at me and spent an hour trying to absorb the voices with rice. Took a few diazepam and managed to get back to sleep. Tired but give today. Scared to sleep. Do I tell team tomorrow?
I’m struggling. I’m really, really struggling. Waiting to hear from the team about ECT, chucking back the diazepam and trying really hard to deal with the uncertainty. GP being amazing as always. CMHT say they will call then don’t. Care-co off sick.
@IamCarrieagain I’m on a lot of medication but still relapsing so they feel that as ECT was so effective, maintenance dosing would be appropriate. CMHT being quite useless tbh. I know it’s a rubbish coincidence that care-co is off but there is no coherent plan.
Had an appt booked with care-coordinator at 9:30. Was told at 10am that actually I have an appointment with some dr I’ve never met at 3:15… FFS! Have wasted the morning and now will lose the afternoon. Will be working all night to catch up…
@DrAnnieHickox@RITB_@KarenAd89081735 I was on the Northern Line this morning and it was pretty empty! Think everyone thought it would be packed and therefore avoided it.
PCOS has a new name. It will now be known as Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS). A change that accurately reflects the condition affecting 3.1 million women and girls in the UK. This is the largest global engagement ever for a medical name change.
PCOS has a new name — Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, or PMOS for short.
Experts say the old name was misleading, since it suggests ovarian cysts are the main issue when they are not actually a defining feature.

Seeing my #GP tomorrow for the first time since returning to work. Going to ask to go on monthly prescriptions - quite a change from the « going to the pharmacy every three days » regime we were on before #ECT 🥳🥳
