@ElCharalitoo@csub_techteach1 Hi Juan, our students can see themselves benefiting from using screen capture software. They can study by rewatching the videos, which will help them better understand the lectures and concepts. This will also help them to obtain better grades, better results on quizzes or tests
@csub_techteach1 I used Jing for my portfolio I would use it to screen capture my Zoom meeting/lecture and post it to Canvas and share the link so my students can go in there and rewatch the lecture. In this way, my students will understand better the concepts they didn't understand during class.
@Meganmize3@csub_techteach1 Hello Megan,
I never use Lexia Core5 but I looked for it on the internet and it also works like Kahoot. I will keep on mind this suplemental resource so I can use with my classes in a future.
@csub_techteach1 I will use Kahoot as a supplemental resource in my lesson plan. I will use the last five minutes of every class to put my students to log in and make flashcards with concepts and definitions about the day's lecture. This will help my students to refresh their memory and memorize.
@Meganmize3@csub_techteach1 Hi Megan. You're right, we can use Google Slides to create our lessons. I like this tool because it offers us incredible features to make our lessons look fun and interesting.
@csub_techteach1 I like using Google Slides and Google Docs. They are the perfect tools to use when teachers assign work in groups. Sometimes students have different schedules, and the group members can always work on the document simultaneously, at different times, and at different places.
@Meganmize3@csub_techteach1 Hi Megan, Khan Academy is one of the resources that a teacher can trust. This resource provides good information with tutorials and activities like quizzes to help us reinforce a lecture and learning for our students.
@csub_techteach1 I finished the activities for my Tech Quest 3. I found item 58 really useful; I didn't know the game Warcraft could be a gamification technique. A teacher can cover different subject areas in the game by assigning activities to the students and making learning fun.
@csub_techteach1 I have been learning so much about the activities of my portfolio. An activity that could be considered a cultural resource is Activity 42, where we have to incorporate Google Maps. In this activity, students can look up the country their family belongs to and see how it looks.
@itsmekelci@csub_techteach1 Hey Kelci, I agree with you! Using google forms is a great way to meet students' cultural needs because they will be telling you about their culture and interests. It will be easier for an educator to accommodate his/her teaching strategies to different personalities.
@MayaCsub23@csub_techteach1 Hi Maya, now that you mentioned Google Forms as a tool, I can now see that this is a perfect way to differentiate student learning. Making this form will allow you to directly see how your students think, and you will have the perfect feedback and change your teaching strategies.
@csub_techteach1 I would use Google as a technology tool to differentiate student learning. I would look for educational experts that are also studying new learning strategies and apply the research learning in my classroom. This will allow me to offer students a good learning experience.
@itsmekelci@csub_techteach1 Hi Kelci,
I have heard so much about Edmodo and never used it before. I have searched for it, but it denies me access to it. Do you know how I can have access to it? I would like to get more familiar with this platform for my future career as an educator.
@csub_techteach1 Since I don't have that much experience with grading tools, I would use canvas quizzes as a grading tool to asses student learning more accurately. Based on my student's answers, I will be able to see in what areas they need lecture reinforcement, and they will also know.
@MayaCsub23@csub_techteach1 Hey Maya,
I agree with you. This technology contributes to students' visual and note-taking needs. Some so many kids learn visually, which is a good strategy for us to use and for our students to absorb all the learning effectively and successfully.
@csub_techteach1 I would utilize Google slides to present a more engaging lesson because this platform gives you many options to make your presentation look engaging and fun. I have also used the Canva platform, which is mainly for you to build posters but it allows you to use all your creativity
@VanessaRM_csub@csub_techteach1 Hi Vanessa,
I'm also going to use Google Slides for my teaching lessons. I have never heard of Pear Deck. Is this a platform like Google Classrooms or Canvas?
@csub_techteach1 I would use Google Slides to teach my lessons to my students. I would also embed YouTube and Khan-academy videos because I know those platforms can provide true educational information and would reinforce their learning as I'm attaching the videos to the lecture.
@ekristoff01@csub_techteach1 Hey, Elizabeth, I have never used google classroom before, but I have heard of it. I believe it is similar to canvas. I would like to use it one day, and I hope I can use this technology when I start teaching and remind my students if they have homework due.
@csub_techteach1 I would use Kahoot with my students. I would ask questions about a specific topic we are learning with multiple-choice answers at the end or beginning of every teaching session. This will help my students refresh their minds, stick to learning, and answer any concerns.
