veganism is not inherently a morally superior position. the vegetables and fruits you consume are also harvested via immense cruelty & exploitation, not to even mention indigenous practices or food deserts. if you care about animals, the position to take is anti-capitalism.

yes this thread was written in the light of recent events and discourse but i want to add one last thing. this dynamic reveals how caste, class & patriarchy are mutually reinforcing structures embedded within broader relations or structures of power. (8/n)
the "mic" (literally and metaphorically) in feminist circles has historically been held by savarna women who have exercised disproportionate control over which voices are amplified, validated or silenced. inclusion within existing structures will always be hierarchical (6/n)
criticisms or judgments that savarna women usually direct towards dalit, bahujan, muslim and other marginalised women being treated as jealousy is reductive. it is social bigotry structured by caste, class, communal hierarchies. (1/n)

The Transgender Rights Amendment Bill 2026 was passed in the Lok Sabha despite opposition demand to send the Bill to a select committee for further scrutiny.
