The officers who arrested Albert Ojwang’ were briefing Eliud Lagat on everything, including their movements, yet Kenyans are now being asked to believe that the briefings suddenly stopped just before Albert was killed and that Lagat somehow became a complete stranger to the operation.

That story does not add up.

You cannot receive updates throughout an operation, follow the movements of the officers involved and then conveniently disappear from the chain of communication at the exact moment the operation turns deadly.

Kenyans are not stupid, and any attempt to isolate junior officers while Eliud Lagat is treated as though he knew nothing must be rejected.

This isn’t what tongues is. This is trash.

How many problems can you list?

I’ll give you just six.

1. This is exactly the kind of “tongues” that the NT forbids. Of course the comments are full of people who think you’re crazy.

2. These aren’t any kind of real tongues. It’s repetitive gibberish unlike any real language. The Bible speaks of “tongues” which always means real “languages” and not just your tongue flopping around as you make weird sounds.

3. They are sending this stream out to everyone they can, as though tongues was meant to showboat or demonstrate their own spirituality. The opposite of the rule of edification in 1 Corinthians 14.

4. There is no interpretation and Scripture says if you don’t have someone interpret them stop talking openly in tongues.

5. There is no prayer FOR interpretation. Scripture requires this.

6. The dude is reading and responding to chat messages as he makes goofy noises, pretending it is tongues.

Look, I support tongues as we see it in the Bible. But what you see in this video is an all too common mockery of this beautiful work of the Holy Spirit. Better to say nothing at all than to perform this circus of unbiblical blabbery.

Eliud Lagat must be arrested and questioned over Albert Ojwang’s death.

He was deeply involved from the complaint, the arrest, the officers’ movements and the briefings that followed, yet the moment Albert died, Kenyans were suddenly asked to treat him like a complete stranger to the operation.

You cannot remain at the centre of a case until death occurs, then quietly disappear from the chain of responsibility while junior officers carry the burden.

Arrest him, question him and let the full communication trail come out in court.

Every morning,

You meet men crawling from prison.

Their shirts look like they were pulled from a bottle.

Their pair of trousers are worn out,

Their faces are long and sad,

Their masculine energy is fading. They walk tired, gazing into an emptiness.

These are men stuck in houses where their wives terrorize them.

They sit in these houses because they are afraid to leave.

They built nothing that belongs to them. They own nothing. Just children who have been strategically weaponized against him.

When they retire from civil service or as teachers or as employees in Indian-owned companies, they resign themselves to fate, enduring insults and mistreatment from their domineering wives.

Their only hope is to sit at the bus terminus, betting and gambling, hoping to undo their years of financial losses.

But it gets worse, they suffer hypertension, diabetes and prostate enlargement.

They become a burden to their families, and they are abandoned in the corner of the house to nurse a chronic ailment.

Their years of sacrifice get swept away by comments from their children,

"Our father spent years drinking and entertaining hoodrats. It is our mother who took us to school."

Or their wives,

"When other men were building wealth, what were you doing? I can't continue living with you."

Yet, his productive years were spent on providing for the family without fail.

Pain and agony, as he counts his last breaths.

Then, one day, the sun will rise without him.

The main door of the house will open without his cough.

His chair at the corner will wait for his warmth, but it won't come.

His legacy gets buried deep with his regrets.

Forgotten.

In the ruins of his sunk-cost fallacy.

There is something deeply troubling about the contrast in today's Kenya.

On one hand, many households are struggling with the rising cost of living, while businesses face mounting pressure and unemployment remains a major concern. On the other, politicians travel across the country distributing cash before cheering crowds.

The question is simple: if there is money to hand out at political rallies, why are essential public services under strain? Why are schools, hospitals, and job creation programmes not receiving the same urgency?

Leadership should empower citizens to earn a living with dignity, not leave them waiting for the next political convoy.

According to world Bank, 75% of Kenyans are now struggling barely to make ends meet, with another 2.5 million or so Kenyans expected to fall into poverty and more companies close down their businesses, the political class remains unfazed.

We see them everyday splashing millions of tax payers money, that if it were used prudently, would cut our poverty rate by 80%.

Our politicians are destroying our country and its economy by corruption and wanton looting, because they want to create a nation of few rich politicians and millions of beggars depending on them for handouts.

Our education system is deliberately being destroyed. Our healthcare system is deliberately being destroyed and our values system are deliberately being manipulated.

We are practically watching the strangulation and killing of our nation.

If the people don’t rise up to fight for what is right, we won’t have a country left.

If the masses are behind you and trust your leadership great things happen. Chinese people are among the most patriotic people I have ever met, they possess a deep sense of national pride and can do anything for their motherland. From outside we see dictatorship, but the Chinese they trust that their leadership will do the right thing and they support it. Their leaders did not loot the country and stash the money in Swiss banks, buy properties in western countries. They set out to change their societies. Kasongo knows he has lost the confidence of a large section of the public. At this point, the strategy is not about winning back local support. Instead, it is about creating the perception of popularity.

Not necessarily for Kenyans, but for the international community.

That's why the foreign trips, diplomatic engagements, and international appearances seem so important. They help project an image of legitimacy and continued public backing, regardless of what many people at home may feel.

Meanwhile, those in power appear to be operating as though they are in injury time—focused on extracting as much as they can while they still have the opportunity.

If an election is eventually disputed, a carefully cultivated image of popularity abroad could then be used to argue: "The signs were always there. We had the support."

Whether that perception reflects reality is a different question.

Politics is often fought on two fronts: reality and perception. Control the perception, and you shape how the world interprets the reality.
