It’s very unfortunate, Diana, that you, the very person I supported even when you were NRM, are now advocating for justice along party lines.

This simply means that if Ivan wasn’t NRM, or if he hadn’t done what you’re crediting him for, you probably wouldn’t have demanded his release.

We need to grow beyond this. Justice should never be conditional on someone’s political affiliation, ideology, or the side of the political divide they belong to.

We must learn to feel for and stand up for all human beings equally. If injustice is wrong when it happens to “our own,” then it is equally wrong when it happens to someone on the other side.

Justice must be for everyone, or it is justice for none.

8 DAYS TO ONE YEAR.
On August 26, it will be 1 year since Sam Mugumya was forcibly disappeared by men in UPDF uniforms while having breakfast in Mbarara.
The High Court ordered authorities to produce Sam before court or account for his detention. Former detainees have since said they saw Sam in military custody. A video that emerged recently also shows a severely weakened Sam, raising grave concerns about his health and wellbeing. Sam Mugumya and his family have waited long enough.
Sign the petition to President Museveni and demand that Sam is released.
