BREAKING: Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney just made quite a statement against Donald Trump's imperialism at the World Economic Forum.
“On Arctic sovereignty, we stand firmly with Greenland and Denmark and fully support their unique right to determine Greenland's future. Our commitment to NATO's article 5 is unwavering, so we're working with our NATO allies to further secure, the alliances northern and western flanks including through Canada's unprecedented investments in over-the-horizon radar, in submarines, in aircraft, and in boots on the ground. Canada strongly opposes tariffs over Greenland.”
Carney: "American hegemony in particular helped provide public goods, open sea lanes, a stable financial system, collective security ... this bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition ... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "
@ScottOake@VancityReynolds Amazing Scott. What an incredible honour to receive the Order of Canada! And what a treat to get Ryan Reynolds’ endorsement! His record is also quite remarkable. Congratulations again!

Calgary’s water supply is in a critical state.
If we do not reduce our water use, we're at risk of running out.
All outdoor water use is banned under Stage 4 Water Restrictions. In addition, Calgarians are asked to restrict their indoor water use.

@Traci_Zee That is unconscionable! I have had colonoscopies every 5 years since I was 30 due to an extensive paternal family history. Find another doctor.
The organization running the Canada Pension Plan (the CPP Investment Board) has a bone to pick with the Alberta Pension Plan Engagement Panel and a "failure" to hold meaningful consultations with the public.
