He may be one of the greatest executives of our generation but it’s time to move on.

Today:

• Netflix: $430B (9.5x)

Netflix was founded in 1997.
Disney was founded in 1923.

That’s embarrassing to say the least.

Under Iger, Disney lost sight of its customer, prioritizing control and influence over product quality. Blocking dissenting voices on the board was the final signal.

It’s almost as if he’s afraid of giving up control.

It’s time to move on.

2. LeBron James

LeBron may be the second greatest player of all time, but this is no longer his team.

The Lakers belong to Luka now, and LeBron hasn’t accepted it.

The frustration shows:

• 5 turnovers in the first quarter of a game this week
• A single digit scoring game. Something he hadn’t done in 19 years
• Easily rage baited by Dillon Brooks
• Grabbing a referee (a role player gets suspended for that)
• Taking a technical knowing Luka is the better free-throw shooter, even JJ looked stunned

He’s obviously frustrated knowing he’s not able to compete with guys he used to destroy.

It’s time to retire and move on.
