⁨🎥⁩ ⁨Attack on the Home of Late Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Quddus Sparks Outrage

The ancestral home of late Professor Abdul Quddus MP, Bir Muktijoddha, lifelong president of the Natore District Awami League, and a beloved leader of Gurudaspur-Baraigram, was allegedly attacked and vandalized by BNP-linked cadres.

The alleged attackers reportedly included members of BNP’s Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal and Swechchhasebak Dal, with local Jubo Dal leaders named in connection with the incident.

The attack allegedly extended to the homes of other Awami League leaders, with claims of vandalism, looting, threats and politically motivated cases.

Attacking the home of a Liberation War veteran is more than an act of political violence. It is an assault on the memory and dignity of someone who fought for Bangladesh’s independence.

The people of Gurudaspur-Baraigram deserve politics without intimidation, violence and revenge.⁩

🚨 The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Bangladesh Police is conducting a raid on a three-story building in the Shyampur area of Hemayetpur, Savar.

Police stated the house has been rented by Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) since the 1st of this month. Several JMB leaflets and some crude bomb-like objects and a significant volume of bomb-making materials and equipment were recovered from the house during the operation.

Around midnight, OC Saiful Alam told Dhaka's leading English newspaper The Daily Star over the phone, "Five powerful pipe bombs made in a special way were recovered from the bag of the detained person. Then, based on the information given by him, nine more similar bombs were recovered from the ground floor room of the house and a large amount of bomb-making equipment was recovered."

It is worth noting that since the successful coup against Hasina in August 2024, the activities of various militant groups in Bangladesh have alarmingly increased.

Meanwhile, with the direct support of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, several members of various extremist organizations, including Hizb Ut Tahrir some fact-checking organizations are carrying out massive propaganda targeting individuals, organizations, and even newspapers that oppose terrorism and militancy.
