@MichaelAArouet Because in the USA we have people living in places like Las Vegas, Houston, and Phoenix (my husband’s German relatives do not have and rarely need A/C)(CA, TX, and FL use the most electricity), we dry our clothing in clothes dryers, most have huge refrigerators (or 2!), etc.
