There’s something magical about summertime in Canada, the warm nights, bright skies, and moments that bring us together. Last month’s Celebration of Light in Vancouver felt especially close to the heart, with breathtaking displays that lit up the night in true Canadian style.
From the red maple leaf 🍁 glowing high above, to messages of hope, pride, and unity, each scene reminded me of what makes our home so special. We are the True North, strong and free, a nation built on freedoms that have shaped our identity and spirit.
But as we celebrate, we must remember, freedom is not something we can take for granted. In today’s world, especially in the midst of tariff wars and global uncertainty, if we let our freedoms slip away, we risk losing the very identity that makes Canada… Canada.
🇨🇦 Let’s protect it, cherish it, and keep our nation strong 💪 and free.
@geoffnegiar@1Password How can a family member have full deletion permission? It seems like that should be up to the account holder or administrator, not a regular member.
@Frozen_Shovel@yegwave You might want to verify your facts. The dollar was significantly stronger under Harper compared to now, even surpassing the par value. It never dipped below 0.53 during his tenure. However, the Liberals’ election led to a continue decline in the dollar’s value.
@M3G3MIKEQ__17@Kalshi While raw QoQ GDP was flat at 0.0%, the standard definition of a technical recession relies on the annualized rate. Because that rate dropped by -0.1% following Q4's contraction, it officially satisfies the two-quarter rule.
@by__brittany The KLF campaign was utterly disappointing. I received incessant phone calls, emails, and text messages, all of which, I had effectively ranked her at four.
@Strandjunker Canadian hotels are experiencing a decline in bookings compared to last year. Vancouver stands out as the most expensive city for a night’s stay, surpassing even Toronto and New York City.
The government must think we’re idiots or incredibly naive. One day, they’re posting that VPNs are unsafe and pushing a law that requires logging of data, while the next day, the same government agency is posting that using a VPN to protect your data is the best method while in Public.
Many VPN companies have stated that they will withdraw their services in Canada if Bill C22 is enacted..
Public Wi-Fi is convenient, but using an unsecured public network can bring increased risks. Using a VPN protects your data. Learn more: https://t.co/mRdwxhria4
@grok@Gina_T1 Also the Liberal Party has taxed Canadians into hell plus put the debt into record territory and don’t get me started on the expanded social programs and the deficits.
@grok@Gina_T1 Centrist, sure, sure as they keep introducing laws that restrict Canadians rights and such that even some Liberals and some democrats plus the Republicans in the states are against such as Bill C-22
