‘You have done a better job than any cabinet minister of telling us the story of Keir Starmer’s successes.’
As Wes Streeting resigns, Caller Martin reminds @TomSwarbrick1 of what the PM has delivered.
Remember a few weeks ago when Reform UK threatened to defund Bangor University in the name of "free speech" because some students refused to do an event with them?
Well despite repeated requests, Reform are not allowing me to attend their manifesto launch.
In the last week I have attended events and asked questions of the leaders of Plaid Cymru, Labour and the Conservatives. But Reform won't allow it.
The restriction of bonafide journalists from providing legitimate scrutiny is straight from the Trump playbook.
It shows a total contempt for free speech and democracy when political parties restrict journalists they fear will challenge them.
If they are willing to do this when they are in opposition, imagine what they will be like if they have all the levers of the state behind them.
A by-product of VAR is some referees have lost nerve/judgement/conviction. But then, mistakes were reason it was introduced in first place. Maybe it is the job is hard & there is no perfect solution to presiding over 22 athletes trying to outdo each other. VAR is best of them.
#mhmshearer as a Welsh Newcastle fan, I grew up with Speedo and Bellamy in a Toon shirt. Speedo is a legend but you had your issues with Bellamy - did you ever see him becoming a manager?!
@madebygoogle I purchased a Google Pixel in May. Since then the contactless payment function has never worked. I've engaged with Google for months to seek a resolution without success, and now am being denied a request for a new device and being ghosted. Shocking customer service

We honour the bravery of the first responders, and the strength of the survivors.
Those who try to divide us will always fail.
A first female chancellor; a housing secretary who has lived in social housing; an education secretary who had free school meals; Timpson as probation minister; a PM who proudly claims his working class heritage — a government of the talents and lived experience.
@kaye_wadland @TheNewsAgents@lewis_goodall@maitlis@jonsopel No disagreement on that. I was talking solely about the scale of the errors and the subsequent coverage of them (and therefore their relevance to the respective campaigns).
Caring isn’t just my family's story, it is the story of millions, caring for each other, dealing with tough times, and keeping going with love.
Sharing our story hasn't been easy, but it's important. It's time to bring carers' experiences into the light.
@RobSetters@AmateurFC@TheSAL1907 Is there an evidence base for this? The SAL has 6 pan London divisions (Senior and intermediate 1,2,3). That is 56 sides. The junior section then splits into North and South (9 leagues).
@AmateurFC@TheSAL1907 Any agreement on a merger should be reached a season in advance, so all clubs know what they are playing for in terms of league positions etc.
Starting place for a new committee should be its structure, not on the individuals who should take those positions.
