“I never wanted to be a lawyer.”

Anam Khair, the accidental lawyer of Balochistan, turned an unexpected career choice into a mission for justice.

Trained through the @EUPakistan🇪🇺-funded Deliver Justice Project implemented by #UNDPinPakistan, Anam is among more than 500 women lawyers across KP and Balochistan who are bridging the gap between people and justice.

That shuttles among politicians, the military and the judiciary. A functioning administrative system is vital for the delivery of basic amenities and a level of ‘law and order necessary to boost people’s sense of physical & psychological security. 2/2

[Prof. Dr. Mir Sadaat Baloch @sonybaloch]

For sustainable peace in Pakistan, we must realise that once the military intervention has curtailed the violence, they must let the civil authority take the lead. However, this seems a bit complex due to a compromised & incompetent civil administrative system 1/2

Analysis of Pakistan's strategic communication for countering violent extremist in FATA implies that it is more about image-building than co-creating meaning about the pertinent issues of our society. 1/2 @IPRI_Pak @OfficialDGISPR @AmbDrRaza @IRSIslamabad @peaceforchange

[Prof. Dr. Mir Sadaat Baloch @sonybaloch]

We fail to achieve sustainable peace in Balochistan because:
1. Force can maintain peace not sustainable it.
2. Engagement & development of community without politics is zero-sum equation.
3. Confirmatory biases can give you satisfaction, not results. 1/2

[Prof. Dr. Mir Sadaat Baloch @sonybaloch]

On the other hand, with the help of social media and strategic communication sub-nationalist insurgents in Balochistan have been able to recruit many supporters. Lately, the female suicide bomber Shari Baloch is a perfect example of their penetration in virtual space.

[Prof. Dr. Mir Sadaat Baloch @sonybaloch]

From National Action Plan to National Security Policy. From Zarb-e-Azb to Radd-ul-Fasaad the question remains, whether military operations alone can be effective in eliminating the peril of radicalism & extremism. Time to find a joint meaning of Peace for Pakistan.

[Balochistan Council for Peace & Policy @OfficialBCPP]

Its an honour for BCPP to be co-partner of the Grand National Dialogue (GND) initiated by the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) and Institute for Regional Studies Islamabad (IRS) about Balochistan-based experts on “Population and Food Security in Balochistan”.

My research paper where i argue tat it fundamental 4 us 2 examine concepts such as Baradari 4 success of social interventions As this system is probably robust enough 2 prevent any attempt 2 change the society even if it is a positive development or reform

The recent comment by @POTUS about Pakistan can only be his personal opinion as the facts & figures would suggest otherwise despite being a country faced by hostile neighbours & passive terrorism because of US policies we have performed much better than anticipated by many.
