🚨🎙️ How are you, Scaloni?
🗣️ Scaloni: "I can't look at you, I'm sorry, I'm too emotional, what a group of players, my brother, that's all... I have to go, I can't."
From @TheAthleticFC: The outpouring of emotion in his goal celebration and his tears at full time show just how much this all still means for Lionel Messi. He scored his eighth goal of this World Cup to move him clear in the Golden Boot standings. https://t.co/QrL2rOBRUC
For the second time in the last four days, Argentina’s hopes to repeat as World Cup champions were hanging by a thread.
And for the second time in four days, they were rescued by the greatest player in the history of the game. ⚽️ https://t.co/L4J6JOSbXs
It’s rare to see Lionel Scaloni celebrate with such emotion. His reaction wasn’t just about the goal. It was the release of tension, a sigh of relief, and a powerful expression of belief that victory was finally within their grasp.
He needs to fix things.
Watch this clip showing the controversial incident between Salah & Alvarez.
You’d notice that (a) Salah was dispossessed without foul play (b) Alvarez’s leg was first planted to the ground without motion before Salah’s foot hit Alvarez’s in motion.
I really don’t get how you guys arrive at this conclusion. When Croatia’s goal was canceled, where was this energy? Why didn’t y’all say FIFA was supporting Cristiano Ronaldo?
Meanwhile, the ref was fair
Emotions mask objectivity most time but enjoy the game with all its flaws.
@Elkrosmediahub Just enjoy the football; there’s zero need to spike your cortisol levels.
Even if/when Argentina gets knocked out, it’s on record that Messi has a World Cup trophy and got knocked out only after Cristiano’s team crashed out.
@Ssaasquatch Albeit that it’s a game of 11 against 11 and in football anything can happen. As the defending champion, this is not how you want to crash out. Not at this stage, not in this manner.
It’s all for the better and I can’t wait for Messi documentary and memoir after his retirement.
