I spent some time solving a problem and thought I'd share... I wanted to get #bogofilter working with #offlineimap, #notmuch, and #afew, but couldn't find a way to do so online; so I wrote my own filter adapter. Enjoy! https://t.co/TLJKsbju3G
@kaihendry@Fastmail Well, I use offlineimap for this, which is fine and gets the job done in a "I can recover from this" kind of way. It's what I recommend if you just want some peace of mind.
How does one delete ~27K emails from your @Outlook archive matching a given regular expression? You don't. You configure @OfflineIMAP and @NeoMutt_Org to do it.
Had to upgrade my email hygiene from personal (#imapfilter) to professional to save serverspace.
What took me ages(!) was to find out @offlineimap needs to have this default actively(!) set:
sslcacertfile = /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
I hope to help others save time.
@CyrilBrulebois I don't get how this could happen. I've read the changelog back to 2 years and I don't get how. offlineimap v7.0.0 was the breaking release (with no report of email deletions).
