Rwanda, Who Should We Celebrate This Year? 🇷🇼
For the past four years, the Rwanda Women in Business Awards (RWIBA) has celebrated outstanding women driving Rwanda’s socio-economic transformation —
Agrimark Ltd (Agriculture with Market Orientation) is a one-stop agricultural service hub located in Kiziguro Sector, Gatsibo District. Our primary goal is to enhance local food systems by providing farmers with a comprehensive range of essential services. These include access to quality agricultural and livestock inputs, support in vegetable production, farm management guidance, extension services, and reliable market linkages.
We are committed to promoting commercial farming, increasing farmers’ incomes, and building more resilient and efficient local food systems.
Vision Statement
Our vision is rooted in the core values of sustainable farming, community empowerment, and long-term food security. We are committed to promoting environmentally responsible agricultural practices while inspiring and enabling communities to take proactive steps toward ensuring food security for a growing population.
Objective
One of our key objectives is to build a sustainable and resilient market system by empowering small-scale farmers. We strive to enhance their income, strengthen livelihoods, and support the development of profitable farm businesses. By doing so, we aim to reinforce local food systems and contribute meaningfully to national food security.
Collaborations
We actively collaborate with local governments, NGOs, cooperatives, farmer groups, and individual farmers. Our strategic partnerships also extend to both local and international companies—including AGROTECH, YARA Ltd, E&B, BALTON, and VERENA INDUSTRIES—to support and scale our agricultural initiatives.
Focus Areas
We are focused on establishing a tree seedling project (nursery beds) to promote conservation agriculture through agroforestry. This initiative not only supports environmental sustainability but also provides an alternative source of income for farmers.
Reach
Currently, we work with 2,647 farmers, including youth, women, and individuals with disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation and impact across our programs.
On the 2nd site more than 100 members of cooperatives initiated by Persons with Disabilities @RwamaganaDistr , @KayonzaDistrict & @NgomaDistrict Districts are trained on Saving, Lending Intern Community (SILC) by @CrsRwanda staff and on Rights of Persons with Disabilities

Today was the last day of the opinion leaders' training on the #gendertransformative approach within the #baho project. The training was closed by the VM of Economic Development of the @NyagatareDistr, who thanked RWAMREC for our efforts in fighting #genderbasedviolence.
On the International Day of People Living with Disabilities (PWDs), we celebrate with the world by remembering that PWDs' problems come from #socialbarriers, not their disabilities. Likewise, women's issues arise from #gendernorms, not biology. #Genderequity is intersectionality.
CAs shared their testimonies and made joint commitments to continue fighting against #genderbasedviolence. In the Remera and Kabarore sectors, 102 CAs received their tool kits, which included posters on power dynamics and gender norms to help strengthen their activism.
Consider these questions in anticipation of the #RDIA awards. Is your workplace disability friendly? Are there clear pathways for disabled employees to access the same resources as other employees? Does the workplace have accessible entrances and workstations?
These awards are meant to raise awareness about the importance of disability inclusion in the private sector and incentivize organizations to actively promote disability inclusion.
