Methamphetamine, amphetamine, MDMA (Molly), speed, tabs ecstasy - I’ve done em all and they all work similarly - pumping your brain full of dopamine (talking like 200x - 500x baseline dopamine) and giving you tunnel vision. You become fixated & your ability to critically think for yourself gets dampened. You become a sponge. Just robotically receiving input. And after too long your system can’t keep up, because no one has that much dopamine, so after years you take it and the effects do nothing, you just take it and you wanna lay around and get cheap dopamine hits from your phone, junk food, video games, porn, other drugs, etc because real dopamine which typically comes from effort and finishing tasks means absolutely nothing to you, because anything that pumps you full of dopamine like adderall completely nukes your dopamine reward system. So ya, if you give a kid drugs they will study, listen and be a good boy or girl but at the same time you’re setting them up for failure in the long run.
