"I am not a good student of State Police..."
Lawmaker Abba Moro says that states haven't adequately equipped, trained, or ensured the welfare of their local security outfits, using Benue State as an example. This raises concerns about how states will fund the implementation of state police.
It is the Judiciary That Determines Who Rules Nigeria; That is Why Houses Are Being Bought For Judges - Fayose
There is nothing like democracy; what we will have is a coronation. We have dictators who are not in military uniforms.
Isaac Fayose, Social Commentator
"How come the Oyo State schoolchildren and teachers who spent more than 50 days in captivity immediately started appreciating President Tinubu after regaining their freedom? Is that the first thing that came to their minds?"
—Barrister Darlington

It is sad that this government, which has shown such disdain for everyday Nigerians that are struggling under the weight of its failures, has now chosen to extend that same disregard to honest Nigerians who have japa'd in search of better opportunities.
A government that has failed, and continues to fail, on security, the economy, healthcare, education, and virtually every measure of human dignity has no business lying to Nigerians and the world that things are better for the Nigerians in Nigeria, than they are for Nigerians abroad.
Until this government can guarantee safety, create jobs, restore economic stability, and inspire confidence at home, it should either fix Nigeria or stop lecturing Nigerians who have simply done what the government itself has failed to do: secured a better future for themselves and their families.
For perspective, and a little bit of respect, Nigeria's total oil export earnings in 2025 were US$31.5 billion, while official diaspora remittances for the same year amounted to US$21.8 billion
“When Chibok happened, it was the fault of President Jonathan. They went all over the world and asked President Jonathan to bring back the children. But when this (Oyo kidnap) happened, it is the irresponsibility of the state governor and the state government.”
— Seyi Makinde.
INEC Deadline: Parties That Sought An Extension Are Not Ready To Be Political Parties - Morka
Some of the parties we are talking about still do not have candidates for all the offices up for election in 2027. That means they had fewer candidates to manage, yet they still failed to meet INEC's requirements. In contrast, despite handling far more candidates and greater pressure, the APC met the deadline.
Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary, APC
Oyo Rescue Operation:
Seun: How difficult is it to have this kind of hostage-taking and rescue or freedom without ransom?

GANG OF THIEVES: The IMF has revealed that @officialABAT and his gang of thieves cannot properly account for public spending worth about 2% of Nigeria’s entire GDP, roughly ₦8.8 TRILLION.
Off-budget spending, hidden from proper scrutiny and accountability. This is not a government; it is an organized looting operation! #RevolutionNow #Sowore2027
Stakeholders have expressed differing views on the allegations involving the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila. Attention has now shifted to the investigation by security agencies, which is expected to clarify the claims. @Thrillnonstop reports.
Alleged Non-Existent Agency: This Isn't Just Government Failure, It's Systemic Failure - Angalapu
The government's statement insults the intelligence of Nigerians. For a country that calls itself the Giant of Africa, verifying whether a government agency exists should be simple. The real issue isn't that Nigerians couldn't tell if the agency was real, it's that the government's own accountability systems couldn't either.

"We knew this long ago. Peter Obi has said it, that they will come for him in the NDC, and they did. They're so predictable..."
NDC Chieftain, Peter Ameh, says recent political party disputes point to interference involving those in positions of authority.
“You cannot be both a police officer and a thief. We don’t want to hear any reports of extorting Keke riders or motorists in Abuja. If we hear it, you are a thief.”
