This weekend is nothing new and old as filmmaking. Every great success is tied to the same story. Taking a chance on emerging talent. Somehow the business convinced itself they could Marvel their way through it. This isn’t a new paradigm. It’s should be a signal to return.

Hollywood has always looked at the culture around them for story inspiration. Even The Fast and the Furious started life as an article on street racing.
