@TexTheLaw I recently watched a documentary by Lionel on what it took to create this song. Very interesting stuff, Stevie was meant to write with Lionel but never returned his call and showed up on the day of recording thinking it was a session to write the song
This Uber driver, a Black woman Lamiyah Jabbar, age 30, picked up a White woman named Diane, who opened up to her about her financial struggles on the way to work at fast food chain Tim Hortons in Buffalo, New York.
Lamiyah dropped Diane at her job, and instead of picking up a new passenger, Lamiyah drove to a shopping mall to visit several stores and asked women who looked to be about Diane's size what clothes they liked to wear and bought those clothes for Diane along with a gift card.
I emphasized the race of the women in this video because that’s all I see on this platform now from both parties but only when the video makes either race look bad. We can also show the good in both sides.
Let's start.
Glo equipment is likely produced and financed by Huawei. We manufacture almost NOTHING in our telecoms sector except recently for some software products and services. I don't know if Glo even patronizes local software and services companies as MTN does. Many avoid them too for other reasons.
Silverbird Cinemas made money from Nollywood movies but Netflix is supporting the industry more. Why didn't Silverbird start a production company the way Mary Njoku did with ROK? Most of the videos Silverbird shows are most likely funded from outside or foreign movies. I dare Silverbird to make it exclusively local and see if they will survive.
Manchester United and Real Madrid are well-funded and we watch them on SuperSport on DSTV. Not Silverbird TV. Multi choice is an African company like Silverbird. How did they succeed more than Silverbird? Global finance. Enyimba FC and Kano Pillars need to go global. Silverbird isn't helping them. Local champions don't win.
Dangote spaghetti and Chivita juice are made from factories with 100% foreign equipment. They use trucks for logistics that are not manufactured in Nigeria to pass through roads that have stopped being maintained. If they are widely available, people will buy. They are suffering too and demand is not their problem, it is supply.
Air Piece is a great airline but do you know an even greater airline? African World Airlines. How come they fly more between Accra and Lagos and they are much more efficient than Air Peace? Nigerian anyhownes and local issues. Ethiopian airlines is one of the most efficient globally and they are also African. There is no patriotism when it comes to dollars we have worked hard for.
All of this propaganda and gaslighting of citizens is getting old. Face the government and address the real policy issues the way our respected boss @AtedoPeterside has always done.
Peace and thanks for Silverbird but leave us alone. Talk to your friends.
@OluseunXx Why not retreat and fortify your base and infrastructure over the next four years and then contest again? See GRV for instance, before election he was all over the place couldn’t get away from him. Now he’s nowhere in sight
@OluseunXx My guy no be today this Chicago state university matter start. This was a challenge in 1999 and he governed well. Let’s call a spade a spade. This is the problem I have in Nigerian politics, it is so individualistic
@OluseunXx There is an opportunity for a strong opposition party to be built from this but instead time and money is being spent to get an outcome that will pit Obi v Atiku as if the BAT supporters would just decamp to their next best option
@OluseunXx I’d advise you move on to other matters. In the history of our 24yr uninterrupted democracy, a sitting president has never been unseated. If the end game is to say BAT not having a cert disqualifies him from being president does that also imply that he shouldn’t have been gov?
