For 10 years, Miami has hosted American Legion @OhioBBS. Nearly 1,200 delegates recently came to campus to participate in one of the nation's premier youth leadership program. It's a privilege to host this program and the future leaders it inspires: https://t.co/tW5XSuzkAJ.
As we close out another incredible week at Buckeye Boys State, we are filled with pride, hope, and deep gratitude. Over the past week, we witnessed young leaders step into roles as mayors, legislators, judges, and citizens โ each one learning the power of civic responsibility, service, and working across differences.
While the colors are retired, the Buckeye Boys State flag remains on stage and salutes you, the delegates of the 88th Session of the American Legion Buckeye Boys State, as you depart from Miami University.
To the delegates: Your energy, curiosity, and courage to lead gives us faith in the future of our country. You came together from all across Ohio, united by a desire to serve something greater than yourselves. Your example reminds us that leadership grounded in integrity and purpose will always matter.
To the Legionnaires, staff, and counselors who made this week possible: Thank you for showing up, sharing your wisdom, and investing into the next generation of public servants.
Help us spread the word for the 2026 program by speaking to your underclassmen and by having them follow us here and on Twitter and Instagram @OhioBBS.
To the future BBS class of 2027, we will see you in 356 days on June 13, 2027 for the 89th Session. But whoโs counting?
For the last time: Gentlemen, this assembly is adjourned. We truly hope that this has been #AWeekToShapeALifetime.

As graduation is ongoing, Legion Joe here to remind you that if you (or your son!) liked this program and like what you see, please help us spread the word, and encourage incoming juniors to apply for the 2027 program!

Spending time with the young leaders at the American Legion @OhioBBS gives me a lot of confidence in the future of our country. Their passion, character, and commitment to service remind me that the future of our nation is in good hands. ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ
It's not every day that you get to meet the Governor of Ohio, but at Buckeye Boys State, it does seem to happen every year! Thank you to @GovMikeDeWine for taking the time to speak with delegates today, and for meeting with members of Governor Jensvold's cabinet and for press gaggling with the @bbshetuck correspondents. For his dedication and support for BBS, we were proud to induct Governor DeWine into the BBS Hall of Fame, and sincerely hope he applies to join our staff next year.
Legion Joe is BACK, this time interviewing Governor Jensvold. Tune in to hear about this Administration's top priorities, their back-and-forth with the General Assembly, and why the Gov. thinks he has never in his life had an experience remotely close to Buckeye Boys State.
Good morning, Buckeye Boys State! Legion Joe is back today with a quick update from State Government, which is up and running in Dorsey Hall and ready to receive all of your input, thoughts, feedback, and complaints.
The American Legion Buckeye Boys State tonight observed our severe weather shelter procedures in response to an NWS Alert. Weโve now been given an all clear and returned to bed. If there are further issues weโll be back with additional information.
Upon the inauguration of the Governor, the 88th Session of the American Legion Buckeye Boys State has officially commenced. Thank you to @OHSecOfState@FrankLarose and The Honorable Sharon L. Kennedy, Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court, for joining us this evening.
