There were many highlights during my recent trip back to KL. But one that stuck on my mind is this painting currently on display at Petronas Galeri at KLCC.
A woman walking by stopped and explained to us the significance of this painting.
6 years to make. A liftetime to admire.
Does anyone else remember Argentina vs Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup?
Because I still haven't forgotten what happened that night.
Messi gave Argentina the lead early, Victor Moses equalised from the penalty spot, and Nigeria were on the verge of reaching the knockout stage.
Then came the moment that still leaves a bitter taste...
Marcos Rojo clearly handled the ball inside the box.
The referee, Cüneyt Çakır, went to VAR, reviewed the incident... and somehow decided it wasn't a penalty.
Even John Obi Mikel confronted him afterwards, and, according to Mikel, the referee admitted the ball had hit Rojo's hand but simply said he didn't know why VAR told him not to award the penalty.
Minutes later...
Rojo scored the winner that sent Argentina through and knocked Nigeria out.
One of the most controversial World Cup refereeing decisions involving Nigeria...
Yet somehow, we hardly ever talk about it.
Does anyone else still remember that robbery? 🇳🇬💔
Lindsey Graham: “I feel good about where we’re going as a nation. We’re killing all the right people…Trump is my favorite president. We’ve run out of bombs.”
Pay close attention to every politician who mourns this lunatic’s passing. It means they are genocidal warmongers too.
Mikan works as a stationmaster at the Ciaotou Sugar Factory Station on the Kaohsiung Metro in Taiwan.
He was originally a local cat who lived near the station, but the staff and passengers cared for him and he became the "face of the station".
Nah we're not doing this. Politeness is not more important than Lindsey Graham's victims. Your desire for propriety does not outweigh the need to name and shame Graham's relentless push for mass military slaughter at every opportunity throughout his entire miserable career.
Japanese ice cream maker Akagi Nyugyo aired a one-minute ad apologizing for raising its famous ice pops’ price from 60 to 70 yen the first increase in 25 years.
There were no actors, the video featured the chairman and company officers

Reporter: “Are you rebuilding nuclear weapons?”
Abbas Araghchi: “No.”
Reporter: “Will you accept President Trump's request for inspections?”
Araghchi: “Of course—if we can send our team to Israel to see whether they have nuclear weapons. If Israel has them, then Iran should have them too.”
Can we talk about mental health of the actual victims in Gaza?
No one gives a shit about that sick genocidal colony.
This happens every time Israel commits atrocities. The story becomes how much Israelis are suffering because they’re having to kill so many people.
OOPS! A Five Eyes’ attempt to demonize China over its presence in the South China Seas flopped badly.
Out of the world’s 195 countries, only nine signed a Five Eyes’ letter censuring China, making 14 in total.
The other 181 nations and states of the world (93%) chose not to.
Who are the few who signed the unpopular document?
ALL the signees are “the usual suspects”: US vassals (“allies”) which automatically support pretty much all of Washington's China-demonization efforts, such as UK, Japan, and Australia.
Three of the only 14 countries which signed are tiny. The total populations of Latvia, Slovenia and Estonia, combined, are less than half the population of the Chinese city of Shenzhen by itself!
.
PEOPLE KNOW THE REAL STORY
Why is there such miniscule support worldwide for the US’s South China Sea operation?
Because all nations know it’s a scam, including the ones that signed.
Everyone knows that there were good, co-operative relations between China and the Philippines under Rodrigo Duterte.
But then Joe Biden met Bongbong Marcos in May, 2023, and a long series of conflicts were immediately instigated from the Philippines, each carefully filmed by people waiting with cameras, to increase conflict in East Asia.
Because that's what the US does.
.
MOST NOT FOOLED
The big irony, of course, is the fact that the biggest, fastest-growing reclaimer of land in the waters near the Philippines is actually Vietnam, not China.
But that rarely gets in print.
To accompany the Five Eyes’ letter, a big-budget US army psyops group is working with people in the Philippines to flood all social media outlets with crude anti-China comments.
But still, most people in the Philippines are not fooled by the US-Bongbong theatrics, and many remain firm supporters of honest former president Rodrigo Duterte, now in jail in the west.

We're not interested in commenting on politics, but sometimes decisions made in the West impact upon the life of even a small cat in the East.
How?
Ports and customs are closed, and transport is blocked, and this means that food reaches us in limited quantities.
Inevitably costs rise excessively, and all we have left is the good hearts of our friends in the West who help us face this emergency that has been going on for months now, and is bringing us to our knees due to the difficulties we are facing every day.

Karen Armstrong says:
“We never read that Christ ever laughed, but we often find Muhammad smiling and joking with those close to him. We see him playing with children, disagreeing with his wives, weeping bitterly over the death of one of his companions, and proudly showing off his newborn son like any doting father. If we could look at Muhammad as we look at other great historical figures, we would surely see him as one of the greatest geniuses history has ever known.”

One-and-a-half-year-old Essam Al-Nabih weighs only 5 kilograms and suffers from severe malnutrition and hydrocephalus (fluid buildup in the brain), which required the insertion of a shunt to drain excess fluid. He was born during the war at a normal weight, but his mother’s malnutrition and inability to breastfeed led to a drastic deterioration in his condition. Despite receiving a medical referral for treatment outside Gaza, he remains trapped due to the closure of border crossings. His family says doctors have informed them that his chances of survival have become extremely slim.
