A friend and I wrote "Bush Blows" on the chalkboard in civics class on a daily basis in 9th grade (early '01) and I also remember someone collecting graduation congrats cards sent by Michele Bachmann so that she could mail them back to MB. Plenty of us were paying attention.

@Miss_Mielle I had a student who, if her mom left for work before she left for school in the morning, she would have to skip school to take care of her younger siblings. I hate that the choice was made for her. She did the responsible thing but her education suffered.
