@brookstweetz Saw obsession last night and was surrounded by people making comments loudly. The fact that people can’t be quiet or whisper for 2 hours is sad.
@kittischmitti No. They all just have an obsession with Angelina Jolie and hate any change. (I’m a classic tr fan but at least I’m open to see what happens with the new things. And if I don’t like it don’t play it or watch it 🤷♀️)
@QTRBlackGarrett It’s fine. It’s nothing stand out but it’s just a wardrobe test photoshoot so I don’t get the hate. I’m just happy it seems to be less modern and true to classic tomb Raider at style wise.
Some legends are destined to be retold. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a reimagining of Lara Croft’s iconic 1996 debut. Coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026! Wishlist now: https://t.co/6xAOumZU2B
@SynnFusion It also could have been used for body angle reference and lighting reference. Just because it’s a male reference doesn’t mean you can’t use it…
There’s a difference between loving the classics and gatekeeping creativity. Some people in this community don’t actually want Lara, they want a taxidermied memory of her. Preserved in nostalgia, frozen in time, and never allowed to grow.
The Classic Tomb Raider community has always been a little unhinged, but man, it’s getting worse. (Or maybe I’m just old and over it now...) Especially here on X/Twitter.
@AxelDLX_ My thoughts exactly. Not everything has to be a 1:1 replica of the classic model to be valid. People forget that artists are supposed to bring creativity to what they do.
