How does hitting share investors, angel investors and business owners with the capital gains regime as property help?

If it was about helping property prices, wouldn’t you target this?

It’s a blatant cash grab guised as helping first home owners.

You and your party are too cowardly to admit this and cannot lie your way around it.

If you didn’t want property prices so high, you have other levers - such as immigration.

Immigration (annual migrant flow) is double what it was in the 80s, 90s and 00s. Maybe reduce it? Speaking as an immigrant to this country myself!

But immigrants statistically speaking vote Labor more than other parties, so perhaps this is all a scheme to get more voters and try to prop up your parties votes and the budget.

I do sometimes envy some of my friends businesses that aren’t tech.

e.g. security door installs. Makes great cash, just himself and an occasional labourer. No customer concentration risk. No risk on payment (50% deposit, rest on install). Works the reviews on Google (and some SEO etc.), and just gets calls.

A toaster draws what 1500W? Kettle the same? Can run those both at one in an apartment?
An iPhone charger is 30W, so could go 300 phones?
Or was it also due to SIM card proximity/GPS etc.?

@aaron_epstein Did this with a business sale a while back that wasn't moving, a quick email: "I'm gonna be in your city on Friday, can I drop by the office?".

They said yes, so a quick change of flight plans to do the stopover.

Walked out with a handshake and the business sold.

@levelsio The train station is named East Malvern so that name gets a good run, on the network maps and announcements - and therefore often called East Malvern.

The suburb is actually called Malvern East. So East Malvern Station, Malvern East.

I need to say those words some more now.

Was planning on moving four sites to @astrodotbuild from Webflow. This makes the plan easier to justify (and a bit more motivation to do so).

Feel like we just keep getting used as an ATM by Webflow with price increases and low bandwidth limits, whilst they zig and zag on their entire direction, currently "Make your website a growth engine"....

Adrian “Lambo Guy” Portelli at the soon to be opening LMCT+ Petrol in Preston this morning, with a 2025 Koenigsegg Jesko Attack (~$7m car!).

Apparently opening soon with $1 a litre petrol. Traffic carnage inbound, I’m sure. Not helpful here for our Tesla.
