@fictillius You don’t have to live in Burwood and pay $1200/week though.
We have a 4 bedroom house that’s 45 mins to the city on the metro and pay $790/week.
So yes the inner city is expensive but you don’t have to live there.
@BeauGiles Switched to Outlook (already had work email in it). My personal email is self hosted but it does have Exchange ActiveSync support and worked straight away.
I just switched back to iPhone after a year on Android and my only gripe so far is search in Mail.
Has it always been this bad? It’s totally useless. I can search for an email that’s literally on the screen and it won’t find it.
I wanted to use the native apps but nope.
Atlassian is now sending fake scare emails about shadow services to upsell their products.
My “users” are doing nothing of the sort. It’s a personal org, I’m the only user.
@_colourmeamused In my circles we either take turns paying (for those who I see regularly) or divide equally. I'm not going to scan a receipt and say you had 1/3 of that wine, 1/5 of the starter, etc - what BS.
If they're online weirdos go to a bistro where everyone just orders for themselves.
@elijahwood@alamodrafthouse I couldn’t help but laugh last week at the pre-roll ads having both an ad for how to order F&B on your phone followed by another one to put your phone away.
There was nothing wrong with the old way of “I want x at the start and y halfway through”.
With all the streaming services continuously raising prices we're going back to physical media for now.
For the cost of one streaming service each month we can add 10 movies to our collection.
Have over 1,000 movies in the garage that we're also unpacking and putting back out.
@ewangibbs My Grandmother did in the 90s. She'd relax sipping espresso and reading the newspaper while I'd watch the planes.
At that time flying for us was once every few years.
When I got older I started drinking the espresso too and it became our thing.
