A friend of mine who works in hotels said the reason they’re doing it is to discourage room sharing.

Doesn’t bother me if alone or with my partner but I wouldn’t share a room like that with a friend or family.

Said goodbye to Sybil yesterday after being my companion for 20 years through good times and bad.

I was 22 when she entered my life as a little ball of fluff RSPCA rescue and now I’m 42.

She was spoiled rotten and I hope she had the best life possible but I’ll miss her dearly.

I once worked for a large corporate who did org changes so frequently they had a team dedicated to packing and moving people’s desks (computer, files, etc) to the new spot.

The best was when they had to “cut headcount” so 100 people got their severance on Friday and came back on Monday as contractors with double the salary because contractors were not considered headcount.

At least these days with laptops, soft phones, WFH, and hot desking it’s mostly just an update in Active Directory.

@brownsheep14 We have Lyrebirds which are basically a Mockingjay and will copy anything from crying babies to chainsaws.

One time I left my cordless phone outside and the battery went flat. For about a month I was hearing the low battery alarm because a Lyrebird decided to copy it 🤣
